So, I was looking on Youtube for any new videos of Harvest Moon, and I happened to stumble across this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkmrTy2UoOY The person said they didn't know how they'd triggered it, and when I tried checking it out on Yahoo!Answers, the one question that may've answered it was deleted. Anyone know anything about that? |

Humm. Maybe I just have a wussy-pants child, but she worked one day (watered my 66 crops), didn't work for two days, then worked the day after that, and the next day she got the flu. It was about two weeks after she fully grew up, too.
(And Selena's son is a spoiled smarty-pants brat. The one who wears the purple and looks perpetually discontent, right?) |

Only not as long. More like, they get older as each year goes. And the years go by faster in EAM and ToT, too.

Yah thats true but in AWL each season only had 10 days....so its not like theres a huge difference since a season in ToT takes 28 + addional days to the childs month event so theres 40 days in a year in AWL and an exemple for my childs month event 28+14 = 42 days. My point is that in AWL your child starts off and basically a older toddler ( knows how to speak and walk ) and in ToT it starts with infant then crawling then walking then talking then childhood. |

She didn't work for two days. I didn't tell her to water my crops, so she didn't.
I don't make her do my bidding every day. I don't have that much bidding to do in the first place. Usually I make her follow me around all day, because it raises her affection (she's still at 9 hearts) and it's so cute to see her totter after me trying to keep up. :D It's odd, I'll go out there and I'll see her water my crops and she'll have about 20 of them done by 4:00, and it'll say, "Eliza watered 66 crops today!" No she didn't! I watched her! D: I'm fine with the way the kids grow up. Actually, I kinda wish it were faster; I slept through her talking phase because I wanted to see her grown up. o_o In EAM, though, supposedly it takes half as long for your kid to grow up (I.e. two weeks for each stage, and two weeks for pregnancy). I can hang with that. It was like that in AWL because it skipped around your life all the time. I like seeing the baby grow up, though. Maggot-baby is pretty cute, and it's unrealistically low-maintenance! And I don't want my kid to grow up completely. I like her to be a kid. :3 |

Yeah. They're cute as a kid. The highest they could ever go before I started to feel a little annoyed, it'd be teenager, but I think you may end up killing your kid. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) But that'd be weird. You have a kid, and they grow up to be teenagers, and then Chloe's still a kid. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Oh, wow, hey, I got the event. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) It was cute. I was just worried my poor animals might get upset with me.

I got it~!
Eheh . . . she had the flu . . . exactly two weeks after she was fully grown - so it was Winter 14 or 15 when she got sick, I think. I just got the cold scene! Another two weeks later on my anniversary with Renee - and I didn't have my daughter work much that time - if at all. I wonder if your always child gets sick once two weeks after their birthday, and then another two weeks after that? |

My child was born Winter 1st also. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif)
She got the flu on the 14th or 15th of Winter, and a cold on Spring 1st - which would have been our anniversary day if she hadn't gotten sick. |

Yes I just got this event last night with my child on my first file. You get this event exactly two weeks after your child is grown(My child was born Fall 1 of Year two, she had her birthday in Year 3 and Fall 15 is when I experienced the Child Sickness event. Hehe it was cute because Jin was freaking out like the others and he's the doctor :D)

They'll probably always get sick on your anniversary. I don't know, though, my first ToT file is laying dormant a few days before our second anniversary. If the cold always happens a month after their birthday, then yeah.
