Before school ends the teachers give you the work you're supposed to do, which is made by the teacher who's in charge of the class you'll have next year (I.e., in my case, the head of English IV), and it tells you the name of the book and has questions over it and/or tells you any other things you need to do (dialectical journals, essays, character annalisis...luckily I only got those last year for my history reading, and they weren't real dialectical journals. x-x). Then on the first day of class, you're SUPPOSED to turn it all in. But almost every year the teachers give an extra few weeks to do it, and anyone who did it over the summer gets a 100. I think in 9th grade we ended up reading the book in class or something. -_-; But, yeah. I'm hoping my teacher this year (I know who he'll be; there's only one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ) will be like the others and give me an automatic 100 for doing it over the summer and give everyone else a few extra weeks to do it. That way, even if my answers are crap, I'll still get a good grade! ;D Cuz honestly, some of them are...wow. I hate critical thinking. x-x
