Wow SCG, you really got to work on the girls. But I think you spent too much time on them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Ah well, at least you almost have a kitchen.

I remember that the game would sometimes give a default name for your child. I think it happens if you miss your child's birth somehow. Can't quite recall how you manage that.
Unfortunately the name escapes me right now but I recall it starting with a K and sounding like a girl's name. Anyone know? |

Oh, you're talking about if you don't go back to your house at 3:00. Your wife gets angry and names the baby herself, from what I understand. I thought Popuri names the kid Mint or something. One of my friends did that (stayed out really late) just to see what would happen...
Yeah, TB, I've wasted a ton of time digging up music boxes, getting them fixed, and giving them to girls... That and hunting down daily presents and events... Now that most of the girls' events are over, I'm really close to getting a kitchen... but usually when I just do a regular playthrough (without trying to get all the events) I can get three upgrades by the end of fall... |

How much stuff did you ship? I swear the shipper is never happy o_O
But awesome, congratulations, Darth! Seeing you beat the game gives me all the more motivation to play myself. Do you have any intentions to play a new game? |

I thought I shipped every day, but I probably missed a few. I swear, I hate that guy sometimes. I gave him so many tomatoes. So many.
I'll probably get back to GBC2 if I do any game at all. But for now, I can refocus attention to Mother 3 and any other games that come to mind. edit: Oh. Forgot some pics in there. |

Wait, the flowers don't die at the end of the season? I can't remember if I knew that or not :(
I remember making my field absolutely beautiful, filled with crops, grass, flowers, and so on. But they all died because it was the first of Summer =\ |

Flowers and grass last between seasons. So I filled my ENTIRE FIELD with them. Not one square was undone. My greenhouse was filled with strawberries too.

'Course I did. (IMG:http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j128/zeplin49/HarvestMoon64Usnap0047.jpg) That's good. Darth, you completing the game makes me want to get through it perfectly for some reason. |

Got HMDS yesterday. Began save file. Gave 1,000 presents to the Witch - 10% of what you need to. Lost like three days when I missed a whole day due to fainting after midnight and not having saved beforehand.

I totally got Hasfusel to play 64 too. Anyway, I've been offered a Bridge Construction job, and I'm gonna have to find some way to Harvest super fast and rush there.

The date is Winter 14, year 1.
I got all the girls to pink hearts. I experience all of their 'picture events' except Elli's. I have a kitchen, 5 chickens... I completed Doug's request successfully... One funny quote I ran accross while in the Bar talking to Doug, "John, how do you feel about Ann?" I answered 'like'. He said (something along these lines) "Well, then I'll ask her for you. I'll even give you a cow, too." Wouldn't want him to be my father... "Here, take my daughter. And if she's not good enough, I'll even throw in a free cow!"... |

For science: I decided to reload to the day Astro was born and just stay out all night until I automatically went to sleep. Kid ended up being called "Liya."
edit: And I was refreshed about an event that was only a mere five days away from my last save. So... Aww.
Played HM64. Became disgruntled with Elli's repetition of "I would love fresh milk and eggs" and swore to kill her if it was the last thing I ever did. Hammer miraculously upgraded while I was halfway through smashing up some rocks. Played HMDS. Have now fainted about 60 times out of 100. Given roughly 3000-4000 presents. Have slain 20 chickens, the remaining ones are all in a fodder shed awaiting the next storm. Given a poisonous mushroom at the Harvest Festival and observed hilarious reactions. Made a point of littering in everyone's house. House is at level two. Have about 12000 monies despite all the fainting. Life is good, except for the chickens, in which case it is short. |

Well... I started a new file on Save the Homeland, starting from scratch, and tried to see what ending I would get. Here's my experience, written in a random, almost unreadable form:
I originally planned to give NO GIFTS at all, except for what was needed to complete a scenario. That lasted, oh...until about midway through Spring. I decided to go for the "Cake Contest" ending, since I needed to get a cow and chicken anyway. I bought a chicken and then later mentally kicked myself when I remembered that I could by an egg from Ronald, incubate it, and get a chicken that way. Oh well. Next time. Too bad you can't buy the cow seed from Bob, plant it, and get a cow. Anyway... I randomly decided that I wanted to make the Moon Drop Dew (or whatever that's called) with Dia, since she's ridiculously easy to befriend (as long as you have enough blueberries). So I did that. I also ended up triggering the "Treasure Hunt" ending (and, well... I think I triggered the first events for EVERY ending. XD) I searched and searched for power berries, and managed to find one fishing and also found the one in my pasture. However, I never could find the stupid power berry in my field. Blasted thing. I choked on Katie's horrible cakes, saw Louis stalking Lyla and Parsley when they came to my farm to talk about the Blue Mist Seed, and got the book that lists the recipe for Moon Drop Dew. I made it with Dia on Spring 29th. My chicken shortly thereafter laid its first golden egg. Whee! But... I ended up getting the "Treasure Hunt II" ending because my cow was too slow to give golden milk. Oh well. It's a fun ending. ^^ And very cute. Then I restarted my file, and still had the same animals and crops and all, but everyone in town seemed to have amnesia, since they suddenly had no idea who I was. Oh well. Time to start again. Or, rather, I think I may start a new file on Tree of Tranquility and play that. XD But... I have a few STH videos. They're in Japanese, but I added notes in English: Tim Finds a Treasure Map! Dia Finds the Sacred Land The Golden Potato Man, I love Parsley's goofy expression when he's happy. It's so bizarre. Ending (Part 1) Ending (Part 2) Oh, and Hasfusel: Sounds like the guy in your games leads a very interesting life. The villagers must absolutely love him. |

I'm sure they adore him. I notice I apparently set the HMFGP to end in AUGUST instead of SEPTEMBER. Not that it matters considering the amount of posts, but you know. Whatever. I also feel I should really really at some point get Save the Homeland. I don't know why it seems to cost more than other HM games that are newer.
Well, I picked up RFF again finally and got around to beating the Ice Snake. It was a fun time that basically revolved around me waiting for him to attack, then I hit him on the head with a hammer and run out of the way and repeat. Over and over again. I'm still also trying to cultivate them Runeys since they started dying off, but I never got nearly as bad as some people've complained about so I'm not so worried. I didn't do much more than that except buy the Autumn painting from Lute and maybe dink around on Whale Island. Though I did make a really cool wind staff with some materials I noticed I had lying around that my skill needs to be level 90-something to use without significant RP use. That was neat. |
