I'm new to Rune Factory, but I have been playing HM for a long time.
This game is so hard to figure out sometimes ~.~ Ok, so, after spending 50,000G in Summer, I realized "so hey, maybe you can't grow flowers in dungeons". I got into the Lava Ruins, and I planted a few turnips or w/e. They grew. I was happy. The season changed to Fall, and I planted some more. Withered grass. Ok! Maybe, I need to only plant seasonal crops in the dungeons. I planted a whack of Autumnal crops, &ohhello, withered grass. At this point, I just brought a lot of food to kill the boss there. So, now I'm in the Snow Ruins. There are no winter crops, so I'm not even sure what to try! Someone help me!!! How does this work? :P 1) Which vegetables can you plant in dungeons? 2) Can you plant *any* flowers in dungeons? 3) Iris told me I could plant flowers on Whale Island regardless of the season. Does this mean anywhere outside on Whale Island, or just the patch in front of her house? I am sick of wasting money! Thanks :) |

1: Green dungeon supports Spring all year round, Lava supports Summer all year round, and Ice supports autumn all year round. That last one seems weird to me too, but it seems to be the case. I think some books at the library mention this.
2: Yes. I have some moondrops outside the boss door of the green dungeon. 3: From what I understand, different parts of it support different seasons. I'm not totally sure how this one works, since I don't actually plant on whale island, though I've been meaning to. Someone else can no doubt help with this. |

Someone else can no doubt help with this. It the first area you enter on Whale Island, before you hit the hotspring, has an enviroment friendly to crops for summer and spring. I have strawberries, tomatoes, pink cat flowers, and Ironleaf all growing in the plots just by the front entrance. I don't know if autumn crops grow there since I haven't tried growing anything like that myself. The first plot of Ironleaf is almost done, so I'll try it. |

I had ironleafs growing at the first plot when you get outside of the dungeon on the Iris' tower part., and then I grew some emery flowers in the spot where I grew moondrops for Iris Blanche.

Is it all crops? I think I read in the library (or heard from Iris) that any flower will grow on Whale Island at all times. Not that it's a big deal since the other dungeons support them too.
