I've just come back from a walk to the beach, where I was turned away by police who said that they had just found a dead body. As I walked back I noticed a helicopter overhead, suggesting that they were still searching for a killer. I am completely freaked out, considering a couple of days ago my father had a heart attack and yesterday I watched a motor cyclist crash and be carried away in a stretcher with his legs broken, making this the third time I've been talked to by policemen in three days.
And to think, if I had been fifteen minutes or so earlier, it could well have been me lying there on the beach... this is totally screwed up. If you're unlucky enough to live in Britain follow the news, a killer at large should make for headlines. I need a drink. |

O-O Whoa. That would scare the absolute crap out of me. But...in the RS Comics your looks remind me of Jack the Ripper; so you should be safe, right? Or, it's just another irony after everything that's happened to you lately. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) Wow. I'm really glad that you WEREN'T there fifteen minutes earlier, though! DD: Though, you live in England, right? Isn't that about 6 hours ahead of Central time? *counts on fingers* What the heck were you doing out at nearly midnight??

I go out from 10-12 almost every night for a walk, usually by the beach or up to the park. I am not going to do that again for a very long time.

Holy crap that's scary. I guess it's unlucky in that you were near the area near the time, but you're really lucky in that you weren't at the area at the time.

Oh my gosh, that's so freaky. D: One time, someone got their brains blown out at this hotel like a just a little bit away from my house, and I was just like, "O_O, Seriously?" How awful.
...And, I'm sorry about your dad. ...Is he okay now or...? |

I remember once when I was a kid seeing these two kids fishing in the pond by the lake. My dad was talking to them about their fishing and how it was a slow day. A few hours later it seemed they fished up the body of a dead girl.
Life makes you wonder... |

Ah, murder. Early one night last year a policeman was shot and killed during a traffic stop just down the street from where I lived. (I lived on the outskirts of town back then, so "down the street" meant nearly a mile, but still.)
The killer got away, and since he was considered armed and dangerous, they searched for him via helicopter and also warned people to stay inside until he was caught. They caught the guy a few hours later - trying to hide in an apartment complex right by the local library. Thankfully, there was no shootout; the killer freaked out and dropped his gun when he realised that the cops had him surrounded. At least nothing happened to you, Hassy. Sounds like you've had a rough couple of days though. =/ What a lovely way to end the week. |

There was a hostage situation not too long ago in a building not too far from my school. We could see the helicopter above the building and stuff. The guy had taken his ex-girlfriend and her daughter hostage. In the end, he ended up killing them both and himself, but we were surprised our school didn't put us on lockdown. If he had made a break for it, he could've just run over to our school. x-x Oh, the imfamous stupidity of my school.....

We had lots of murders around the area I used to live in. One guy got his head blown off at the end of the street. Another time I witnessed a girl push her boyfriend out in the middle of the street, make a U-turn (also in the middle of the street), and come roaring back, aiming straight for him. He actually had to dive out of the way. Haha.
Glad you're safe, Hasfusel. Stay cautious. There are lots of weirdos out there. ]8 |

Why don't you believe? What's not to believe? A lot of people have died in the park near where I live.
There was this girl who went to my school whose parents murdered her, chopped her body into pieces, and scattered the remains in garbage bags throughout the park. A woman found them dropping off the remains and called the police. Another man who lived up the street from me hanged himself on the tree my friends and I used to climb a lot as kids, too. |

Well, they do say bad things happen in threes so you should be out the clear now Hassy.
And sorry to hear about your father, is he feeling any better? I really hope it didn't do any damage. Just last year in my city a boy ran away because his parents took his Xbox away and they ended finding his body in a field where my dads friends go hunting... They were the ones that found him. My city doesn't get a lot of murders, maybe two or three a year. We often get people from other cities that dump their bodies in our area because they think we're out in the boonies. :P |

Be safe my British friend. I know what it's like to have to walk in fear on your own streets. I've lived here all my life, and it sucks.

Brighton has high levels of crime compared to the rest of Britain. Most of these crimes are violent ones, and a lot of these tend to be drug-related. The regional news reports murders quite frequenly. The press hasn't released any information about the body from yesterday that I've seen yet, but doubtless they will shortly.
My dad's alive, but not well and a little shaken. I hope this will be enough to persuade him to change his lifestyle (I've been warning him this would happen for a while now) but I'm not sure. @Saffy: Hey guys, you wanna go see a dead body? You must have had a Corey-Feldman-esque adventure by now. |

I can't remember if it was last year, or the year before last when this happened, but anyway. My mom was driving me to school, and we were nearly there. There was yellow tape and some police people around this one guy, and there was an ambulence. We figured the guy had passed out. He'd been killed. I'm not positive if he was shot and then moved there, or if he was shot there, but either way, his body was, like, on our school property. D: And glad to hear your dad's at least still alive. I hope he gets better soon!

Hassy, I know how you feel about your dad. My dad is exactly the same way. DDD:
Anyway, we here a lot of bad news from Pittsburgh and even just a few miles away on TV, regularly. Their are a lot of perverts and drug-related killings here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif) |

But don't worry I'm sure you'll be fine! I hope your dad gets better too, make sure to be by his side. I hate when family members go to the hospital, ugh. |
