because STH was like... everyone's favorite they remade it for PSP and made marriage possible.

Save the Homeland was everyone's favorite? I thought it was the worst Harvest Moon game I'd ever played.... I didn't like any of the characters, and thought it was funny that the game didn't even really reward you for farming. I got all of the endings in what amounted to about a year and a half game-time and only grew one, maybe two individual crops. :/

no im not being sarcastic. ive never owned a playstation so I dont know why, but every one loved it so much, except for the fact they couldnt get married.
personally, I love all the marriage candidates from STH (and I think thats a first O_o) and I liked them in MM (my favorite was Katie which is the first time I've ever liked a brunette the best). I dont know how I'll feel about the endings... like, in STH after it ended you had to start all over... I hope this one will be like the others where even after you finish the main plot line you can still play. idk... this one could have potential. since I never played STH I dont know, but everyone seemed to love it. so...

Though, as I said before, I didn't like the basic game at all, I did like the new ideas they had... Its just that I don't feel they worked out that well in the game.

I AM excited that they added marriage to it though. Like you, I also liked all of the marriage candidates (Kurt and Dia especially), and from looking through just the screen shots, it looks like they might have improved upon the issues I had with the first one...

I know in STH you could get an ending and then continue on to get more, as if you hadn't gotten it, but still kept all of your personal relationship and farm status... I'm hoping it'll be the same in this one.

In STH personal relationships with villagers do reset with a newgame+ while everything else stays the same

To put straight, many people in the Harvest Moon community did NOT like STH, its a well known fact, as its nickname was "The Black Sheep of Harvest Moon". But it actually did have quiet a bit of fans, but most of them stayed "In the closet" about how much they loved the game due to how much the game was shunned from the HM community. Now though, many more have come out about loving STH within the past year since people are admitting to it.

I really want to play an STH game so I could see how it's like. I want to play the first one........ But, that's going to be bit hard to do now DX I'm looking forward to this game, I'm just hoping my parents will let me borrow their PSP's.

I've got such good memories about STH. It was the first HM game I played and got me into the series. I love the music, the graphics, the characters. It's all awesome. I can't wait to play this game.
