Well, I just got the Grand Bazaar three days ago, I didn't even know it was out! (I obviously haven't been on here in a while) So, here I am and I am starting my own game! (Yaaayy....?)
Anyways, thoughts on the bachelors/bachelorettes? I was super hyped about Angelo when I first saw him, but now that I've gotten to know him a bit, he's not my type (haha) Same with Dirk. I think Dirk will be one of those guys who sort of get left behind in popularity against the others. Ivan is very cute! I really adore his outfit, really makes him handsome x3 And He's soooo dignified. Lloyd? Total heart throb. 100%. Same with Amir, totally adorable/sexy or something ^^ It'll probably come down too Lloyd and Ivan, but Amir is a really sexy option ^^. Antoinette is totally the girl I would fall for, she is totally cool and adorable! Daisy is such a sweet heart, I can't help but like her! Freya reminds me a lot of another girl in the HM world that I really dislike, so she's not a liekly candidate. Emiko seems.... sweet, but not my type ^^ Sherry is a total cutie. When it comes down to it it'll probably be Antoinette and Daisy, but Sherry is a likely contender too. |

I'm pretty sure we have a topic for this already, (where my opinions on this were already very firmly stated) but what the helk.
When it comes to the guys, the only guy I actually dislike is Juris. (Uh... his English name is... Ivan...? I think...?) I find him boring on pain of death, and irritating to boot. Without going into a long rambling spiel about why he annoys me, let's just say that the polite type is just... not my type. Uh... Schmidt's obsession with talking about his family and home country is kind of irritating, but I do like him. Again, he's a little on the boring-side personality wise. (Though he is darn pretty.) I like Dirka as a character, but I prefer him as a friend to a marriage candidate. That said, I'll be marrying him in Twin Villages since I can't stand any of the new bachelors in that game. Agi... talks a little too much like a kid for my tastes, but I think he's adorable and rather sweet. He seems kinda air-headed though. :/ Lloyd is... the typical Cold, Aloof Megane character. (For a recent example, see Ootori Kyoya from Ouran High School Host Club) I somehow have him at the highest heart rate right now, so he'll probably be the one I go for unless one of the others jumps up or is easier. Er... as for girls... The only girl I actively dislike is Shelfer. (Uh.... Sherry. I think.) Her particular stereotype is one that I've hated for years. I just can't stop hating it no matter how hard I try. Women like her bother me because they're just so willing to put themselves under their man, and take things on that they don't need to so others don't have to do them. She's literally like a shelf. Everybody lays their responsibilities on her. It's annoying. I like Enju's cold attitude, personally. The fact that she's swayed by people's empathy for her is adorable as well. Also, who doesn't like a girl who loves frogs? :D Freya's an interesting gal. She actually reminds me quite a bit of Muffy - just younger, less trodden-upon, and more ambitious. She's really flirty and good spirited. I'm a fan, but she's a pain in the trumpet to get acquainted with since she leaves for work early and doesn't get back until evening. Anemone is super adorable, though she's a total scatter-brain. She's not really very interesting, but she's a darn sight better than the previous maid-type marriage candidates. Kagetsu is... Princess Kaguya of the Moon. No really. Whenever I visit her shrine I'm always brought back to the story of the Bamboo Cutter.... She's also kind of boring though. :/ In other words, I'd probably go for either Enju or Freya. They're both awesome in my opinion. |

Well there was a "who will you marry" topic a while back, so I guess it's not surprising that another topic that like has been made (since the first one came out before the game was released in English). I'm pretty sure I already mentioned who I liked, but I didn't really go into detail so I'll post it here (even though I won't be marring anyone I still have opinions on the characters (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaevil.gif) ).
Right now I'm playing as a boy character. I will play as a girl after I finish my boy file. So I'll start with the marriage candidates for the male character: Antoinette: She really reminds me of a friend of mine. That's why I like her so much, but not enough to want to marry her. I do like her though. Daisy: If I was going to marry anyone it might be her. She is really sweet and I really like her hair for some reason. I normally don't like when people are overly clumsy, but she isn't too bad. I think it's cute how she calls Ethel and Stuart grandma and grandpa. Emiko: I sometimes forget about her. She never leaves her shrine and it took a long time to meet her. She is really pretty, but I don't know about her at all. I mean I've gotten high heart levels with all the other girls so I know more about them, but I just unlocked Emiko a little while ago. And I can't see her when it rains (and it rained a lot). So yeah maybe once I get to know her more I'll have a real opinion. Freya: Umm I don't really like her all that much. Workaholics aren't my type. But I do like her more than I thought I would. When I first got the game I thought she would be rude and I would hate her. But she is different then what I expected. I still wouldn't marry her though. Sherry: I think she is cute, but she is the typical mayor's daughter type girl. Like Felicity from Rune Factory 1. She cares about the town and is worried for her father. I thought I might like her more than Daisy, but I'm not so sure anymore. ------------------------------------------------ I haven't really gotten to know any of the guys well yet, so once I play as a girl I will probably change my opinion, but for now here's what I think. Amir: So far he is my favorite. I don't like how he talks about his sister all the time. But I still think he's cool. Angelo: So far I don't like him that much. He is kinda uninteresting to me. I really don't know a lot about him. Dirk: Me and my cousin talk about Harvest moon games together and we each call husbands Dirk is mine and she has Ivan (we call them Dorkas and Jerkas (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ). At first I thought he would be the type of character I would only want as a friend, but I'm really starting to like him. He is my second favorite now. Ivan: Well I couldn't marry him since he is my cousin's husband, but I don't mind because I think he is boring. He seems sorta feminine, but that's all I really know. Llyod: I do not like him. I think he is a jerk and a rival. All I want is it to beat him in the Bazaar. But I have to be friends with him because of Sherry. |

@ PumpkinPatch: Jerkus and Dorkus! I LOVE IT!!! x3 I have a friend and we both call husbands too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I've taken claim over Llyod, I don't like his face so much yet, but he has such a sweet laugh, and other than Ivan, he is the only one I think that doesn't sound like a female or a kid!

I love that you also call husbands now I don't feel so weird (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaevil.gif) . Yeah, most of them sound pretty girly/childish, but I still like Dorkas. And I shouldn't say I dislike Lloyd more like I dislike him as a marriage candidate. Since when I first started Lloyd always got first place at the Bazaar so I made him an unofficial rival. Now all I want is to win against him. I'm more motivated to make money when there's a possibility of "losing" to Lloyd. I still think those glasses look out of place.

The glasses are TOTALLY out of place... 100%-- It's just a typical Japanese stereo-type where the buisness man has black hair and glasses.
Same with all the HM doctors right? Black hair with generally the same traits... even Jin the newest Doctor is similar to Alex, Trent and 'Doctor' I wish he had a name lol. --Me and my friend are weird like that, but its so much fun rivaling over husbands, that's why I like the console ones better, there are USUALLY more options in marriageable men <3 |

You know a lot of the characters would probably be better if they didn't follow stereo-types so exactly (like with Llyod's glasses). I really do not like how every Harvest Moon doctor is so similar. They are all way too health obsessed. Wait is there a doctor in this game? Almost all Harvest Moon games have a doctor (even if they aren't a marriage candidate they still have one).

Nope, there is a teacher though, which is a new idea for Harvest Moon

The teacher thing is cool, but I wonder... If there's no doctor what happens when you get pregnant? Does Felix come by and tell you? Because that would be really weird (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) .
