I mean it's full of questions and she's not answering it right now. So it's booked, so to speak.
Ahem. Do you also laugh when you hear people say "sea man" or "sea men"? |

Hahaha YES. Frick. In English class the other day we were talking about this book and signs that the main character may be gay. Him and his wife were talking about "leaving it all behind and just going out to a deserted island together" and then later he's thinking about going to the island but not with his wife, with a captain and a bunch of "seamen". Then all of our TA's (the graduate students) started to laugh and then our professor was like "Oh I think that the TA's are laughing about the word "seamen." Then the entire class cracked up. It's a class of like 250 students so it was fairly awesome.

I haven't gotten to the end yet, haha, I don't even know if they formally address the issue. It's written by Willa Cather who was born a lesbian in the late 1800's. She didn't know what a lesbian was really since they didn't "have" them back then. It was more interesting in any case, not a lot to do with the book. I don't know if I'd recommend the book to anyone, it's not terribly interesting until you've had a professor explain everything to you.

Um, hm. I didn't like Alf as a kid, does that count? He scared me, plus he ate cats.

Why is it so hard to kill a bear with a pocket knife?

Because bears are so cute and so fuzzy. And fat, so the pocket knife can't get to any vital organs.

Did you know Richard Ian Cox, voice of Inuyasha and many other tough anime guys, did the voice of Bedtime Bear?
At a fan convention I went to he got so annoyed being asked to answer questions in Inuyasha's voice he started saying everything like Bedtime Bear. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) (IMG:http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u4/fireyfox_01/inuyasha.jpg) (IMG:http://www.flossilady4you.de/assets/images/Bedtime_bear_large.gif) Brothers? Cousins, maybe? |

I'll ask him myself later, but if there were a lesbian on the forum do you think Saffy would identify or be grossed? |

I don't think he'd be grossed but I really don't know Saffy at ALL. Just because someone has the same sexual identity as yourself doesn't mean that you automatically connect. I don't connect with a lot of girls who are also straight. It might give them some common ground, though. That's a start.

White Women Against Racism. I think it's still around.
Funny story about them. Someone was once asked to leave one of their meetings. Can you guess why? |
