Will I be completely lost if I just play RF2 and not RF1? I was thinking of only getting the second one unless someone can convince me otherwise. I guess it would make more sense to play the first one first, but does it really matter?

EDIT: Never mind. No one has answered so I decided to get the first one (I had to decide before Christmas) I would still appreciate if you offered your opinions on the matter anyway.
