For those who have played this game, can any of the zoo/circus animals be owned? Like, can you get zebras for your barn or something? I've looked around everywhere, but I've never found an answer to this. I know about the three lost animals that act as transports throughout town, I just didn't know the story behind the other animals.

Nope sorry, Only the regular farm animals are owned by you... There arn't any new farm animal editions from ToT... But you can have weird pets like Mother Bear and Snakes and stuff if thats any consolation...

you only rescue the circus animals and you can have up to 3 or 4 pets depending on your house level and then I heard that they changed how many farm animals you can have. Like you can only have 3 different types of the livestock. So if you get a horse cow and sheep you can't have a goat or ostrich until you sell on of those. That is really unfair I want all the animals.

I was upset about that too. Because I always had at least one of every farm animal, but it seems like the horse and ostrich are worthless now that you can ride all animals, unless you need speed, cause I heard that the cow is extremely slow to ride.

And then the goat is pointless unless you are a type of person who prefers goat milk products over other ones, because now the sheep is an all-purpose animal: milk, wool, and transportation; now that's a good deal.

I refuse to believe your lies. That would be totally stupid. All the Harvest Moon games so far have let you have as many animals that your barn/ coop would allow you.

You can fill up all the slots in the barn still, but you can only do it with three kinds of animals. For example - if you have six slots then you can have three horses, two sheep, and cow, but you couldn't have two sheep, a horse, two goats, and a cow.

The three kinds of animal limit is still silly though. Maybe they were trying to add some difficulty.

I suggest ppl to either get a horse or the ostrich cause riding sheep is extremly slow. It might be fun the first few times. But then you'll get bored fast with the game and just wanna get there faster and complete everything in the day so you can go to sleep faster. There's more than enough time to get rich fast...and have very1 love you.

Right now I have 2 horses 2 ostriches and 4 goats. Getting a sheep isnt all that great sure you get wool but its only use is that you sell it. Plus once you get rich from crops I dont think you'll like shearing that sheep everyday. The thing I dont get is that the sheep loses a heart when you shear it.

It "loses" hearts? What happened to it gaining hearts from shearing it? Wow...this game has as many cons as it does pros.

Oh, wow, it loses hearts?
I guess it only makes sense, though. I mean, if someone forcibly shaved me with a pair of scissors, I don't think I'd like them more for it.

I don't really care about the three different animals rule; I don't need more than three at a time, after I get every animal in there at least once for the trophy. Once I get perfect wool from the sheep for the rucksack upgrade, I won't even need all three. Just seven cows and a horse, for the transport.
