Holy crap. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) I was about to provide a link to that guy's webiste when I saw you had already provided it for me. Yeah, I like weird stuff.
I posted a bunch of that guy's stuff in the Any Color You Like forum a while back. Although it's impossible to find a good gallery of that guy's work; most websites are either incomplete or have really bad picture quality. I actually like that guy so much I bought one of his books, it was really interesting.
On a side note, he was murdered recently by his landlord's son when he wouldn't lend him money. Sad, but somewhat fitting to a guy who dabbled in both dreams and nightmares.
This used to be my computer's wallpaper for the longest time until it crashed.

The whole thing is very sad. He was very unhappy at the time as well, beause his son had commited suicide several years earlier and he could never come to terms with it, it seems.
That picture is... haunting. Lots of Beksínski's work is. As you said, he painted the fabric of dreams, but rather the feverish ones you get in the middle of the night and then wake up sweating and hide under the covers. I kind of get drawn to that sort of artwork. I don't enjoy watching it, but I can't help it nethertheless.

On a more cheerful (and slightly more random) note, how's the weather in Canada? It can't get any worse (or better, if you share my point of view) as here in England. We now have rain every few days, and it's so cold half of it turns to hail. I should probably dig out that old trench coat my dad used to wear. When you can count the degrees of temperature on the fingers of your left hand, it's really time to dress up warmly.

It's been bitterly cold lately, but today wasn't bad. I heard Obama says the weather's going to get better under his term. Apparently he really does have super-powers. I seem to express myself through writing. I'm pretty creative at writing short stories, fan fiction and peoms so it doesn't really surprise me that I come up with lots of questions. Oddly enough, I'm nowhere near the inquisitive type in real life. I guess it's just fun to say stupid stuff once in a while. :\
