Well It Shpped before christmas but I couldnt open it until christmas I am really enjoying it and I got a I pod touch shadows of almia wii music and a idog soft

I finally got around to starting the game. It's so much fun. I took a few days to find everyone though. The environment is huge. I also managed to get Boan to fix the bridge. Also the animals are so cute in this one. I got a calf and named it Crono :). It got kinda mad at me since I forgot to feed it once. Why couldn't they give me some free feed with my calf? I saved right after Boan told me he fixed the bridge, so I need to go there now. Also has it ever been said if you can have 2 girls or 2 boys? You do have the choice right?

Yep, You can have same gender kids... and you can choose which gender but you can also let the spouse choose...

I don't have the game myself, but I did get ToT for Christmas, so that should tide me over until EAM is brought stateside.

I still can't wait to get EAM, though. xP

I'm gonna choose since I want my child to look me and not my spouse(I'm assuming that if I choose, the kid will look like me). And it's Horn Ranch's fault I didn't feed the cow. They should've given me free food for the free cow. I'm gonna go play now. Hopefully I can start getting money and getting animals.

Edit: Alright, I finally met the people in the mining district, got the whistle, met the Goddess, reopened the accessary shop, planted about 15 lettuce, and went mining. I gotta get started on the bells so I can do all that and then get married.

you don't have to worry about that you can catch her any time becuase you have the game but for me it will be a while until I can catch her! BTW do you speak japanese?

No, I can say a few words and count to 100 but that's it. As for reading, I can read Katakana and Hiragana but not Kanji.

While there's kanji, there's also hiragana and katakana in there so that's how I play. Most names are written in katakana(except for the wizard, witch, God, and Goddess), a lot of items names are in katakana and hiragana, and the people don't just use kanji when they're talking. Although, even if I didn't know those, I'd still get the game. Also it helps to use Nurse Fin's info from the EAM RanchStory section.

In case I was a bit confusing in my post, I wanna say that you should expect to still run into kanji in many places. I don't want you to think there's no kanji. I'd say the text uses both kanji and hiragana equally. Still, with this topic and the guides on the site, you should be fine. Also as Jason said, you'll need a Japanese Wii.
