Weeell, let's see. Decent silk yarn goes for about 730, good is about 1100, perfect is 1450 and shining goes for almost 2000. Blue silk yarn goes for 1060. So you're only making money by dying decent silk yarn. And blue is still the most expensive color, so it's pretty much not worth dying any silk yarn any color unless it's decent quality.

Lol, you have to have level 3 coop before you can buy silksworms, and then your can only have 4. And the upgrade is, ... 20,000 for the first and 40,000 for the second?? And it was a lot of material (not as much as house upgrade, but...).

I've been playing the Japanese version lately and befriending people is hard. Their hearts just won't rise for me even though I'm giving people what they love. I've been giving Kotomi Herb Tea for 5 days and she won't go from 2 to 3 hearts. Will people accept more than 1 gift a day? I really want to do Edge's bell but I've got only 1 person at 2 hearts and about 5 people at 1 heart. I need them at 3.

Hmm...So, the people's hearts are harder to get, and the animals are easier, right? That's it, I'm marrying the dog...xP Ok, maybe not. I wonder if they accidently switched the heart things. Really the animals were supposed to be hard to befriend and the people were easy to befriend. Ok, maybe not. But geez! I seriously am gonna go bankrupt in this game! Too bad I can't get a loan in it, or convert some of my Gold from ToT over to this one. TT-TT

Yeah, the animals are VERY easy to befriend. I'm on Summer 14 of my first year and I've got:

-The Beagle, Border Collie, and big whitish dog all have 5 hearts(I just give them a mushroom everyday)
-The grown bear has 3(I just talk to it and occasionally give it mushrooms)
-The orange and black Cat both have 1, the white Cat has 3(I just talk to them everyday)
-The Boar has 6(I always give it and the squirrel mushrooms)
-The Squirrel has 6
-The bear cub has 6(I give it mushrooms and talk to it)
-The panda has 1(I talk to it occasionally)
-The snake has 2 (from talking to it)

They really made them easier but made befriending people a pain IMO.

I'm pretty positive you can't get divorced. I suppose you could pretend to be divorced if you married the God/King or Goddess since they don't live with you.

And that's the reason why I will never marry the God/Goddess or Witch/Wizard. Everything's really different for them, and you can't have as much fun. The Witch/Wizard aren't as bad about it, but the God/Goddess are just boring. Oh, hey, we're married. Oh, look! We're gonna have a baby! Even though we don't live together! It'll be like in the Grinch.

Actually, you kind of DO get a loan, in the very beginning. You owe the mayor 5,000 gold for your house. But you don't really have to ever pay it back, unless you want to buy more land I think.

Also, there's kind of a cheat to befriend people faster. If you have the 2nd Wii controller, point it over the person and it will kind of turn into a little heart. They'll stop and look up at the camera. Keep moving it over, off, then over them again, and pretty soon they'll jump for joy. Keep doing it after that and they'll jump again, except with hearts over their heads. It isn't making a huge giant difference, I mean I'm getting about a heart a week, but it's faster anyway.

And if you want to marry the goddess, you can do that to her everyday and be able to woo her before completing the storymode. She'll already have quite a few hearts by the time you can give her real presents.

And no, you can only give one gift a day.

I remember hearing about that trick but I don't have another Wii remote. I might go out and buy another one just so I can do that trick. Will an American Wii remote work with a Japanese Wii?

According to GameSpot forums and Wiichat the accessories and peripherals are not region locked. Meaning, yes, you can use them. I personally read a post from someone who uses a Japanese Wiimote on a US console, and someone who mix n' matches the controllers between his UK and US system. So if they're right, yes you can use a US wiimote on a JPN system.

I'd google it, though. I only did a 3 minutes search just now.

I finally got Kotomi to 3 hearts. 9 people left to get to 3 hearts and I can complete the purple bell. My friends won't move past 1 heart though. They must hate me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif) . And I had to chop down my poor trees. I wanted to keep them but for Fall I need to fill my entire field with Blue Mist flowers. If I grow and ship enough of them, I'll have nearly 200,000 gold by the end of the season.

^ Once you get going it is quiet easy to make friends... I have at least one heart with every Non-Child (Excluding Chloe/Thyme/Pao) And I just talk to some of them.

And Keep the trees on your farm... I kept 3 out of 5 of my Trees and I was still able to become a hero with money to spare if your using blue mist flowers!

I have several questions though..

1. You can ride your cow/sheep/goat, do they have speed difference?
2. Is it hard to level up Marimba Farm? Will I be able to reach level 2 atleast in Spring/Summer year 1?
3. Do you recommend the use of fertilizer? Or is it waste of money?
4. How hard is it to befriend someone? Is it really hard to get them to atleast 5 hearts?
5. Do we need to raise the guys' heart to a certain level if we want to triger rival event? (Playing as female)
6. What do I give Roomi and Mai to raise her heart? >_> They only eat PIE!!! It's expensive :\
7. Do fishing takes time like in ToT? Or time stopped when you fish?

Questions for Nurse Fin, but she seems to be inactive ..

1. What do I give Wizard to boost his heart level? (Easiest to get / chepest?)
2. Is it hard to get married to him?
