I don't have the US version myself, but after reading through various accounts, the game will freeze whenever you try to activate Calvin's request event (5 hearts). Because of this, he is no longer eligible for marriage. Furthermore, if you don't get his heart level back down, you will not be able to go past level 10 in the mines (unless you are playing as a boy, or already married).
:( If anyone can prove this wrong, it would be much appreciated. |

I know this would not cause me much trouble because I'll be playing as a boy but it's still disappointing :( .. After all these delays I didn't think there will be so much glitches but wait, I was so wrong! There is a BIG glitch in the game that removes one of the marriage candidates from the list .. Now what would it be like if they just removed his role from the game to make something good like .. umm .. Lower the time of the loading screens for example .. But oh wait, I totally forgot I'm talking about Natsume! This is a serious issue that needs to be reported to them! I'll send them a message right now and let's see what are they going to say about it ..
Thanks so much Fin for informing us with this (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif) |

One lucky thing, Calvin wasn't one of the popular people for marriage.
If it was Kotomi or something.... |

I emailed them yesterday but they didn't reply yet; it's actually the first time they're late in answering my questions! I think it's because they don't know what to say! They should be ashamed of themselves!

First of all - two days ago was the weekend. They might havbe needed some time.
Second of all - there's more than one way to register our displeasure. From natsume's website: Natsume Inc. 1818 Gilbreth Road, Suite 229 Burlingame,CA 94010 1-650-692-1941 Bolding mine. |

Seems like a pretty big bug to miss in testing. If it's true, I wouldn't be too surprised to see the game get recalled for a period of time til it's fixed.

It is disappointing I'm sure, I had even considered Calvin as my target when I read the instruction booklet, but people need to concentrate on the other aspects of the game more. I find that this games is by far better then any of my other HM games. Look at the children for instance, you can now chose if you want a boy or a girl, and when the child is at the right age he or she can help with chores! Many people had wanted those things in other games and now we have them! This game is huge, I expected there to be some glitches, I personally laugh when I hear this one. The point is, that Natsume had a lot of expectations, and I think that they exceeded them.

The rest of the game is great, but obviously not because of Natsume. And if you wanted to marry Calvin, it's not a laughing matter. Seriously, how sad is it that we're supposed to be happy it wasn't as many bad glitches as the past games?I really wish XSEED was handling these games. |

For some reason I'm not surprised that Natsume did this. This is just like the horrible lag problem that plagued A Wonderful Life: Special Edition which made the game almost unplayable for me and Natsume did nothing to fix this. Has this been happening to everyone though? I haven't heard of this problem from any where else.
I wish XSEED had gotten a hold of this too....That's not to say the game is completely ruined now but it's a big deal for those that want to marry Calvin and it shows complete laziness on Natsume's part. |

Wow, that really sucks. This is the first I've heard of this, but I just got the game on monday. Luckliy for me though, it won't really affect me since I wasn't planning on going for Calvin. But that is still really lame for anyone who did want to go for Calvin.

I was SUPER disappointed when Mimidear told me about it because I lurved Calvin (not because he looked like Indiana Jones and I have an undying love for Harrison Ford or anything) and I even sent a mostly angry letter to Natsume.
I think all of y'all should protest your discontent with their quality control, and maybe it'll get through to them. QUOTE (my email y'all) To Whom It May Concern, Before purchasing Tree of Tranquility, I was doing some research online and discovered a major bug in the programming that is both shocking and appalling. It pertains to the last "heart event" of the bachelor Calvin, and the game apparently freezes as soon as you enter the area to trigger the event- and continues to do so until you lower the bachelor's "heart level". To let such a major bug through the system into the American public is unfortunately unprofessional, and I urge you to correct this mistake if it is within your power. I will regrettably refrain from purchasing your product until it is corrected, and I will inform my colleagues to this indiscretion and urge them to protest this as well. As a long time fan of the Harvest Moon series, I have noticed the significant drop in quality regarding bug screening and quality control in general. As a frequent patron, I find it insulting that your company seems to no longer care about perfection in translation and programming, but about the quickest you can put the newest game on the market. I would appreciate it greatly if you made even the slightest effort to rectify your errors, and I look forward to this amendment and my ultimate purchase of Tree of Tranquility. With Regards, Isabelle [Last Name] age 15 [location] Feel free to edit and send again. Their email address is 4service@natsume.com and the subject should be Harvest Moon : Tree of Tranquility. Please be cordial, you guys- we don't want a lawsuit or anything. :D viva la revolucion! |

You use lots of cool words.
This may be a good thing, they may sack Natsume (Highly doubt it though.... *Cry*....)! On 64 on the starting screen they spelt their own name wrong, they spelt "Natume", and I don't like spelling mistakes, so when I see a spelling mistake I go "NO! Look! They made a mistake!" I hate it when I can't spell things correctly *sigh* |

Maybe I haven't been paying attention or something, but has anyone actually confirmed this happened? All I've seen is people talking about it.
