This was successful enough last year, so why not do it again? Summer is beginning again, and with it will be coming a multitude of free time and potentially another Harvest Moon game! Unfortunately, we already know how the wait for those goes, so why not kick back and play some of our old favorites? This isn't going to be limited to any particular game(s), just pick and choose your favorite one(s) and play along with everyone else.

I would get the ball rolling, like it would make sense to, but... I sorta didn't even think about this until I realized today was June 1st. Maybe I'll go with '64... or finally get around to looking at the stuff for GBC2. Hmm...

So, basically, it's the 20th of Spring and not much is done. Have the Sprinkler, fishing rod, bug net, and 19510 G.

It's pretty simple. You just play any Harvest Moon game you own and talk about your playthrough here.

Ok, I decided to try out either AWL, 64, or MM. AWL is super unlikely but we'll see.

Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Points in the Wii Shop are purchased via credit or debit card, or at retail.

I don't have any status updates on my GBC2 gameplay. I've been messing around with getting Runeys in good condition on RFF though. s'like, Spring 20th of my second year.

Topic needs life, and GBC2 is boring to report on.

In the interest of those who haven't (gasp) played HM64, here's the town tour. Also makes this post feel more content-rich when all I'm doing is just starting out. Also, yes. "Natume" and "Push the START."

(IMG:http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g281/worthlessnewbie/HMFGP/HARVESTMOON64-1.jpg)

... mountain and the Vineyard. Turn around, and that path leads to Green Ranch. They sell animals and stuff. Also, ask 'em about a free horse because they're total saps. Aside from that, there's not much more to say other than that Ann is nice and loves animals, Gray's a jerk because of some crap in his mysterious past. Anyway, on to town.

(IMG:http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g281/worthlessnewbie/HMFGP/HARVESTMOON64-2.jpg)

I don't think I need to mention anything else. Popuri's a nice girl, but she stays out in the sun too much. Waters the side walk. Lillia is also not diseased. Upwards we go past the church, which is completely and totally useless except for giving tomatoes to the pastor for a recipe. It's also a school. Separation of church and state does not exist in Flowerbud Village.

(IMG:http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g281/worthlessnewbie/HMFGP/HARVESTMOON64-3.jpg)

This is where you find Karen 90% of the time if you can't find her during the day. I think she breaks in to drink what's in the stockroom during the day. Stairs lead to the town square, where you can participate in festivals. Unfortunately, it's the third so we don't get to get drunk for free.

(IMG:http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g281/worthlessnewbie/HMFGP/HARVESTMOON64-4.jpg)

South of there is the tool shop and stuff. You can't tell by the screenshot, but Rick is so much more awesome in '64 than he is in BtN/FoMT. Way to show 'em, Rick. Let's keep walking.

(IMG:http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g281/worthlessnewbie/HMFGP/HARVESTMOON64-5.jpg)

... of not killing people like Sam 'n' Ella's. That place was horrible. It lacks an Ella, but Elli is quite nice and will like you if you stop by to buy cake often. Which would mean that you're freakin' rich. She doesn't mind if you feed the cake to the dog though.

(IMG:http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g281/worthlessnewbie/HMFGP/HARVESTMOON64-6.jpg)

... medicine when you're sick. But you're generally better off just sleeping it off like a man.

(IMG:http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g281/worthlessnewbie/HMFGP/HARVESTMOON64-8.jpg)

This is the library, if you couldn't guess. You can't actually really get anything out of reading there like in other games because this iteration of our favorite farmer pal only reads the covers of books. Maria, who should've been the tip off it's a library, is the nicest person ever.

You know, if I think about it, the faces feel sorta scrunched in their boxes alot on '64. Guess that's why they moved to the top of text boxes in later games. Anyway, I bought seeds. Then I planted them. They're supposed to grow into plants or something. I guess that's why it's called "planting." What a silly word.

So I got sidetracked from HMGBC3 by HM64 and Wind Bazaar. I promise I'll get working on it later.

Yaaay, festivals. I'll never understand why these festivals can't be included in the newer games, along with the other festivals. The planting festival for example wouldn't even take all day. Just go, release balloons, continue with the day. Simple, fun.

edit: Score. Also, Stu knows what's important.

edit 2: Today's goings ons.

I met Cliff.

Maria has begun bringing me snacks when she can.

I saved the heck out of that Vineyard.

Basil showed up.

This fact has begun to annoy me.

Found and made use of the music box.

Finished off Spring. I've yet to endeavor to raise animals or get stuff built, but considering I revived the vineyard, got a bunch of recipes, and have the girls at at least blue heart with the exception of Maria who's at green, I think I'm doing good. And yes, at this point it goes without saying that double posting in this topic is totally cool.

Festival pics.

Power Berry ("It's real this time!")

Popuri wins!

Just as planned.

Karen is really, really one track minded sometimes...
