Do you enjoy the main character changing often? Options

I like the change mostly. :)

But for some reason I'm not found of the change of ToT/P to EAM players. Mostly cause it's pretty much a sequal to ToT/P and I feel there was no need to change the main character/players.

Not saying I dislike the design, I just find no need of it.

I think there was a need. its trying to differentiate the two games. like, you can still be the guy and girl from ToT, but whats the point? its a new location, new people (kinda) new gameplay. its a whole new change.

Yeah, I like the main character changes. It differentiates the games, and I don't really like the idea of playing as the same guy in different places marrying different people - kinda gives me a bit of an 'immortal pimp' feeling, if you know what I mean. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

My favorite protagonists so far are probably Takeru/Kevin and Mark. I like Jack, but he's a bit bland....>> And he's everywhere. Uh, not that there's anything wrong with that. Cameo Jack appearances would be cool.

I also like EAM's protagonist a lot because they offer Lolita-esque clothes for her.<3

I like all the characters they've come out with, except for MM. I hated those ones. They definitely looked about 6 years old. With major butt implants. It just didn't feel realistic to me. But I like all of them now, and I do like how they are keeping the basic, general idea, but modifiying it a little bit. I would like to see a major change. Like somebody previously said, I honestly think a race change would be nice. Not to say I hate whites (I'm white), but I think the change would just make everything feel fresh. Maybe one day they'll make a feature where you can choose out of a few different asthetic options to "customise" your hero/ine. That, would be sweet!

Flowerbud Village/Town deserves Pete/Tito and ...Um..Tina (I hate that name,Melody's better).
Mineral Town has Jack and Claire.
Forget-Me-Not Valley has Mark(now Jack,Mark was sooo 100 years ago,literaly) and Pony(..Jill).
Sunshine Island has Mark and Chelsea.

Etc.

I prefer when the farmers vary.
It gives us a breather from the same old brown eyed happy,hat wearing,overall wearing Jack and little Claire.
Though male farmers often have similar attier.

I personally don't like Jack(and I hate Tito,and Pete. There's something Pete's eyes and Tito's chibiness), I love when they change the male farmer. Jack's so overused,he's in every universe,and is always being reincarnated.

I like playing as different main characters in different towns and games. Gives more variety and doesn't make me feel like I'm cheating on my previous spouse if I choose someone else to marry this time around. If every game featured the exact same protagonists it'd feel like they're some sort of weird reincarnation, alternate-dimensional self, ultra-pimp, or doomed to forever be a widower, widow, or undergo consecutive divorces. Not to mention all those abandoned children. @_@

I'd love for there to be more variety with the protagonists' looks, though. So far most of them are all white-skinned and brown-haired. There's only two blonde girls, and only one blond guy! And there's only been one true red-head (although at first I thought Chelsea and Hikari had red hair, too...). I doubt we'll get a black protagonist any time soon, though...Maybe one with a nice tan. :D

I like that they change it up once in a while, but I consider Jack to be the main farmer. I loved the way he looked in AWL.
I like Mark too though, hes cute. :)
As for the girls, I like them all.

Exceptions being MM characters, I hate the way they look in MM. The graphics in general are awful.

Seriously. I think that's a good idea: customizing your character to whatever you like. You can make them tan or black-haired. It's not like they use your character's art a lot in dialogues.

On a side note, I totally switched from using the guy characters to girls now. I don't miss Jack one bit since I prefer being a Jill.

I do miss jack but the new characters are also cool really I like them all I'm not that picky really *shrugs* but being able to change hair or eye color would be cool and character designed too as well so we all can actually look like what we're playing as or farther from it if we want to really

I like having the characters change each game, though as long as there is some variety, I am happy. (For example, let's say that Fred first appeared in a Harvest Moon game wearing blue jeans and a yellow T-shirt and had short, black hair. Next, in another Harvest Moon game, Fred looked the same, but was chibi. Then, in another game, Fred had long, red hair, but the same outfit, except his jean were faded. In another game, Fred wore overalls and had a ponytail, etc.) To be honest, I would prefer being able to make my own character or to be able to choose a character out of a section, but I doubt that is going to happen anytime soon.

As for who I do and do not like, I like most of the characters that have appeared so far, except Mark. I am not quite sure his appearance bothers me, it just does. As for the characters of Magical Melody, I can live with them. However, I felt rather uncomfortable when Tina got pregnant.

Jack from FOMT is second favorite though
