I would crack that "Yotsuba is the hottest!" joke. But I don't want to go look for the picture and I'm sure Headtrip will be here for that sooner or later.

._. Would y'all be surprised to know that I've never even heard of Yotsuba? Just what the heck is it? (Aside from being a cartoon, obviously.)

There are so many manga characters out there like that...

*thinks of My Girl (Sahara Mizu), Usagi Drop, Otaku no Musume, etc.*

Be more specific. That really doesn't give me anything.

.....right.

Are the two of you intentionally being vague, or does the manga really suck that much?

From Wikipedia:
QUOTE
Yotsuba Koiwai (小岩井 四葉 Koiwai Yotsuba?), also known as just Yotsuba (よつば?), is a fictional character from the comedy manga series Yotsuba&!, as well as the one-shot manga "Try! Try! Try!", both by Kiyohiko Azuma. As the title character of the series and almost every chapter, Yotsuba is usually the focus of each episode; most stories revolve around her meeting, and often childishly misunderstanding, a new concept or activity indicated in the chapter title. She is noted for her childish energy, unusual naiveté, and iconic appearance.

QUOTE
The popular English-language imageboard 4chan, which is known in Japanese as "Yotsuba Channel", adopted Yotsuba Koiwai as an official mascot: the site logo and icon at one point consisted of four leaves positioned identically to her distinctive four green pigtails, and she appears in the HTTP 404 message (leading to the nickname of "404 Girl"), banned user messages, banner ads, and logos. The software the site runs on is code-named Yotsuba.

If you don't know what 4chan is, DO NOT GO THERE. AT ALL.

BY ANY MEANS.

You will be plagued by fanboys and fangirls, random memes, and excessive nudity. :D

*sighs* Sounds lame. I already get my "naively struggling through cute and simple tasks" quota filled by reading/watching Chii's Sweet Home. I don't need another.

And yeah, I hear ya Harvest Sprite. I really, really hear ya. *has been subjected to the inanity multitudes of times*

Meh 4chan is fun when you are 16 and into that kinda worthless chocolate pudding. Later on you see those people are pretty much worthless pieces of trash :)

YOTSUBA IS FING AWESOME THOUGH. Chii's sweet home sucks.

BTW panda person you have an azumanga daioh sig, which is from the same mangaka. You a poser?

First of all, I came across Azumanga Daioh in its anime form. Also, liking one series done by a certain mangaka doesn't mean I have to like all series done by them. And finally, Chii's Sweet Home is awesome. >:E

For me, 4chan wasn't even fun when I was 14. I avoided it like the darn plague unless I was forced there by someone else and even then I only stayed for a few seconds to look. I never got involved in that chocolate pudding.

But liking one of his series and not trying anotherone because of the description is just totally retarded. Poser.

Keep telling yourself that dear. How can someone force you to go to a website anyway?

Did you not read what I said? I came across Azumanga Daioh in its anime form. I never read the manga. My second statement was more in general. Take for example that 20th Century Boys is my favorite manga of all time, but I can't stand Monster, which is by the same guy. Or that I loved Fruits Basket, but hated Tsubasa: Those with Wings and Hoshi no Uta.

And conversely, why should I read a manga just because of who wrote it? Doesn't that make less sense than not wanting to read it because the description doesn't interest me? (Which it doesn't simply because I'm already reading/have already read at least six different manga titles that are similar or have the same premise.)

"How can someone force you to go to a website anyway?"

How about by leaning over you and typing the darn address in? Or by nagging you to death until you agree to go if only to get them to shut up and get out of your face?

Me? A poser? Please. I never tried to pose as anything. You're the one making ridiculous insinuations.

Oh yeah that's right the anime and the manga are totally different. /sarcasmode
And I'm talking about not even trying not if you love it or hate it, it's just bullshit to not even try a series of the same author who made a series you apparently love (or are you a poser?), just because of a description. And yes that doesn't make less sense, to not even try it just doesn't make sense. Especially if you like the genre like you apparently do because you've tried 6 different and you find atleast 1 of them awesome.

So if I just make a simple calculation:

Genre you apparently like+Author who made a series you love=win. Am I right?

But you're not even giving it a chance, that's just weird.

That's not forcing. Or if they have your family at gunpoint or something at the same time then maybe.
