So today I busted out my old harvest moon, I havent played it in ages! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) I looked at my best file and its so weird seeing your kid all grown up unfortunately mines a smart A** lol. In the new ones I realized you couldnt really interact with your child, which was kinda disappointing to me. The one thing I never got in the old ones is how you get your child to like art I mean I gave that artist dude a bunch of stuf and he actually gave me back a statue he made but my kid still doesnt like art that much I just dont get it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/weirdsmile.gif)

Some kids (such as Nami's and Gustava's) are more inclined to like art than others. Leaving the sketchpad in your kids toybox helps as well, and showing your kid to Cody when he's small enough to pick up. I think artist is actually one of the harder careers to get . . .

But I never had the patience to get the kid past the toddler stage. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif)
I just know what I've read in guides and such.

I'm more patience nowadays though, I might go back to playing AWL, AnWL, and AWL:SE.

Well in one file I have rocks kid and the others is marlin...I kinda have the patience for them but ToT was ridiculous it took forever for my kid to grow up I mean yah all the scenes in between were cute and all but still ridiculous

I think Rock's kid has a little interest in art, but if it's like Muffy then I think it leans toward athletics and ranching. I'm relatively sure Marlin's could care less . . . (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)
But I again, I'm not sure. I just remember wanting to see all the different career scenes, so I made myself a list of what I figured was the best way to go about it based on who I married.

Celia/Marlin: Farmer/Rancher
Muffy/Rock: Athlete/Musician
Nami/Gustafa: Artist/Scholar

Eh, you probably have a pretty good shot with Rock's son - unless he's already set on athletics. I'm not entirely sure about the husbands because I could only find interest/strengths for AWL's kids. I just guessed they would be about the same.
