Was the realization you would never father a warm bread child really that upsetting to you?

ID: Well, WWII interests me a lot, because, being of slavic descent it impacts me directly. (Not to mention my grandfather fought in said war.) You see, what a lot of people don't know is that slavs were only a notch above Jews in the eyes of the Nazi regime. So, I feel a kind of sense of connection when I think about it, thus making it interesting. You know, including the 6 million Jews that were killed, 6 million slavs, Jehovah's witnesses, Roma, etc. were killed as well. Actually, as part of my bucket list I want to go to a site of a death camp and light a candle in remembrance of all those lost during the Holocaust.
WWI Also interests me, because I was taken by the assasination of Franz Ferdinand and his wife. The term "the shot that was heard around the world" really drew me in. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Also, I like medieval Eastern European history. Last but not least, I like the history of Marxism and the progression of communism. Bet you wish you hadn't asked, eh? XP |

Haha, no, I'm actually surprised that all interests you.
Yes, I knew about the tons of other minorities that were also part of it. It always makes me cringe and wonder how did all these "leaders" get into power {especially in Germany and Japan} all at once and all feel the need to kill so many people? And the horrible things they did, like I know on Steven Spielberg's website he owns basically all the rights to almost every video taken at death camps and I remember looking at a few but then had to get off because it's so hard knowing that these aren't actors, these were real people, and moreso when I saw that they made lamps and random other pieces of furniture out of their skin. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) That's probably why it interests me, trying to figure out why all this extreme hate happened at once and the fact that they went so far with it, for really only because of a few extremely stupid reason {a reason Hitler hated the Jews so much was because they weren't as affected by the great depression unlike some other religions/races, but that's not their fault}. Like you, I'd like to one day visit a death camp, even though I tell people that and they go "are you sure you're 18?" lol, since they think that's weird for an 18 year old, but the whole reason they were left standing {and not torn down like Hitler's eagle's nest, which I actually kind of wish they wouldn't have gotten rid of because after all, it was pretty crazy and had a gold plated elevator and just the history behind it} is so we could understand better what these people went through. I've seen it on tv but that never gives you the real impact. Hopefully one day I'll go, I'd even go travel to Germany and different places, there's one area where my grandpa crashed in their plane and he was the only one of the crew to survive and he was only filling in for a guy, and they turned it into a bed and breakfast oddly enough but it's named after the company he was in. So that'd be cool to see. LULZ, I just go on and on without even realizing how much I've typed haha. Do you know what your grandfather did? Like was he a marine, navy, etc etc etc, and what country was he fighting for at the time? |

Tonight I am having your sibling with salad and potatoes. Should I also have carrots or corn? Maybe peas?

Just core junk right now. Religion (it's a Catholic university), English, History, Philosophy, and Psychology. But as for my major I'm a bio major with a pre-physical therapy track.
