Hey, hey guys!

Serebii has some leaked scans showing what the starters look like! Just check out Serebii.net, it's right on their front page. Note: Serebii notes the chance that the scans are fake, but says that it is a slight one.


They look familiar to me. I guess because I've been looking at this stuff on DeviantArt and this is more or less what people have been guessing.

If those are the new starters, I am very disappointed. They're hideous. I hate them.

Aw, c'mon Saffy. They're not that bad. I like the grass one, and the water one's kind of cute (if a little clownish). . . . I can't say I'm too thrilled with the fire-pig, though. =/ But hey! Try to be optimistic and open-minded, if you don't like these, then maybe the evolutions will be better.

I would settle for the grass starter because the water one looks like a clown and I'm not using that pig.

At least the other pig was awesome.

I'm going to wait until we see the full evolutions to make my choice but so far the grass type is way in the lead. Look at him all like "Yeah I'm a new starter, what of it?".

The male trainer looks much cooler than the last too. No more stupid beret and scarf combo

That water-type is growing on me. I mean, I know it looks like a clown, but I was really hoping the water type would be an otter. It is an otter, so I can't help but be happy with it really. ^^; Besides . . . it's cute and fluffy and has a little shell on its belly~

I keep getting distracted by the grass-type looking like a banana. Heh, what is it supposed to be, anyway? Some kind of lizard . . . ? I still think it looks pretty cool though.

. . . I can't work up any kind of enthusiasm about that pig, though. It's just doofy looking . . . >_>

Really, you guys find those the worst starters ever? I think they are way better than 4th generation's starters and probably just as good as the rest. I'm loving that there's a fire pig! I love pigs. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Actually, I find the main character weird looking. He looks like a redneck.

Thats the one I'm using. Unless the other have better evolutions. Uncluttered and enlarged that one actually looks kind of cool. Doesn't seem starterish though. Might just be the tophat.

The grass starter looks the coolest. It makes me sad that I'm always the water guy. Not that there's anything wrong with him.

Turtwig (Piplup is cool, but evos suck. Chimchar/Monfero are close second. Just like grass starters)

Since we're making a list of the coolest starters (no evolutions)...

Those are my top favorites. The rest are all okay, except Mudkip. He's disgusting.

I'm kinda liking that pig. I always start with fire, but that pig seems like he'd have awesome evolutions. Same with the snake, but we'll see. Coolest starters:
Charmander (Let's think about this, a turtle that spits er bubbles... some kind of dinosaur, or a fire breathing lizard dragon.. hard choice... but I do like the other 2.)
Cyndaquil has this spot, although Totodile is a close 2nd by like this much: l-l and Chikorita I just really don't like...
3rd gen is hard to say, but in over all stats I'll say Torchic just because he was the original fire fighting.
4th gen I'll go with Turtwig. He coulda been faster, but he sure was cool.

If only we could give him a top hat. I know for sure that atleast one of his evolutions will have tusks. Maybe he'll be a fire ground type as a boar.

I dunno. These starters just seem… so very odd compared to the usualy work of the artists. Almost like their color palettes are too pastel, or that for starters they just… I'm not sure. Maybe they're too structurally complicated? Sigh, it's hard to say. We'll know for sure in a few days, I guess, but I'm still on the fence. At the moment I'm leaning towards Tsutaja (grass snake) and Mijumaru (otter boy), but I guess everything depends on final evos.

You think the male's redneck? Have you seen the girl's shorts? Or her mile-long sideburns? Uck. They both kind of suck.

And yeah, the main characters always seem to suck. I've only liked the Ruby/Sapphire guy.

I've liked all of them except these two, really. I half-like the girl's hair, but her outfit is terrible and the male just looks like he crawled out of bed. And is it too much to ask for a blonde/red-headed protagonist?
