PoPoLoCrois Farm Story Has A Bit Of A Leisurely Harvest Moon Side To It

Marvelous are currently working on a new game called PoPoLoCrois Farm Story, an upcoming RPG that puts together PoPoLoCrois Story and Harvest Moon (Story of Seasons). A recent issue of Famitsu magazine shared a few more tidbits about the upcoming 3DS title.

The tale of PoPoLoCrois Farm Story is said to be a lighthearted one that will bring you laughter and tears, starting out with prince Pietro’s 10th birthday, and his encounters with many friends.

While the game sounds like it would have more of a Harvest Moon vibe to it, it’s actually about the young prince and his grand adventure to save the world, accompanied by a number of RPG and fantasy elements.

According to Famitsu, the battles are command-based, and look pretty straight forward, as you use various attacks and skills depending on the type of weapons used.

So far, they’ve showm four party members including Pietro, the apprentice forest witch known as Narcia, the justice-loving White Knight, and the self-proclaimed demon lord of evil GamiGami Devil who isn’t great at reading and writing but can invent things like no other.

As you advance through the story, you’ll get access to a farm where you’ll be able to raise livestock and grow crops. The farming part is meant as a way to kick back and relax during intervals of Pietro’s adventure, so players can go at their own pace.

Farming look a lot like the ones seen in past Harvest Moon games, where you can see Pietro planting and harvesting different veggies like daikon radishes, pumpkins, carrots, and more.

Also, I think it's really strange for them to call the Popolocrois crossover Story of Seasons 2. I feel like that should've been saved for the next plain, basic handheld Bokujou Monogatari, or simply not used at all.
