How does some of the stuff in it compare to A New Beginning? And how is the tutorial at the beginning, annoying or does it go by pretty quick and easily?

Hi, I'm new here and to the harvest moon series.
I managed to get the preorder copy and spent wayyyy too much time on the game.
My japanese is not good, so I guess and play by trial and error.....

Game progress:So far I managed to get a chicken house built and named my chicken "Tamago".

You're learning Japanese too, Alice? For how long? :D

I can play Wind Bazaar myself, but I find that it takes me too long to translate the kanji, so it takes a while. I decided I'm going to hold it off again until I learn more kanji, which I've started doing. ><

Haha, tamago, that's cute. Do you have anything else to say about it?

Wooh Congrats! And welcome. :) I like that name for the chicken.
I'm going to have to say I'm jealous and now I feel like getting the japanese version, though I'm terrible too. ^^ So I shall just have to wait for the game to come out in the US.

sorry, was busy farming.

I'm new to the series so I dun really know what are the new innovations...gomenasai
I took japanese language classes up to advance intermediate (100+ weekly classes?)
but den quit as I was too busy with work to prepare for the jap school exams. kinda lazy to resume:p

the game really keeps you busy with farming, the farm animals,
gathering,trading with other countries, town events, cooking, making furniture...wondering
how to find time for romancing haha

I now have 2 hens and 1 chick all with food related names :p.
hope the pictures help

You're getting me excited for the North American release! I'm glad that it keeps you busy. And hopefully it stays busy!

I wish I could read some Japanese... you're lucky :)

First off let me say I am SO SORRY I have not posted here in months. Dx It seems I have the stamina to keep up with only a few social websites at a time. Tumblr, Miiverse, and the occasional Twitter post have proved to be as much as I can handle, argh.

How do people keep up with all these social sites!? I now have great respect for anyone who manages to be active on multiple social media sites and keep their sanity! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) I really don't know how you do it...

Anyway, I have posted TONS of stuff about this game on Tumblr:
http://mariethecrocheter.tumblr.com/

There's a lot of scattered information. I'm not good with hashtags, so things aren't organised in the best way. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) I'm trying to work on that, though.

This is my post about my first week on my first file:
http://mariethecrocheter.tumblr.com/post/78185644492/week-1
(Didn't bother doing this with my second file, haha.)

I've posted translations of a few of the bachelors' heart events. Search under "[Mistel/Klaus/Fritz/Reger/Nadi] event medley" if you want to see those. Don't have any of Cam's up yet, but I will sooner or later. Search under "marriage" or "children" to see more about family life. (Well, life with Mistel and Klaus, anyway.)

I really hope Natsume announces the English version at E3!! I'm really enjoying this game and eager to see the English version. I especially recommend it for players who liked A New Beginning and/or Grand Bazaar, as it bears many similarities with both those games. (It's not as slow-paced at the start as ANB is, which is nice. Many game elements are taken from ANB, such as the controls, clothing system, etc. The story and end goal of the game is very similar to GB's.)

If you have any comments/questions/desire to chat for some reason then please contact me on Tumblr, 'cuz I'll see it for sure. ...Probably. ^^;;;

I for one have definitely been keeping up with your updates on your Tumblr! I was actually planning on making reblogs a regular feature either the week-of release, or as a lead-in to it once there was some more concrete information about it. There's a ton of good stuff on it that you've done so far.

I rely on Ranch Story, I don't keep up with the Tumblr account. I don't have my own account. vv;

I'd love to read up on it, but, I have an in class essay tomorrow I need to study for.

Do you have any other nice quick comments on the game?
How long's the tutorial, for instance?
And do you interact with the other villagers a lot/events?
Just some things I'm curious about.
