The title pretty much sums it but anyway, I was boredly browsing around in the Internet hoping I'd bump at announcement about the European release for RF4 or New Beginning (no dice with that *sigh*) or even news about something upcoming at Japan and suddenly found myself staring at the Ranchstory Frontpage. Wheels in my head turned for a moment and then I realized that I actually DID have account here and thinking back to the logic of me all those ages ago I actually even cracked my own password so yay for me!

Looking at my old posting history I hang my head slightly ashamed, wish I could go back in time and slap my old self since I sound like I'm high on sugar on each post I have ever made here. I swear I'm *adult* now. At least sometimes. ;) And I guess as adult as person who's two favorite games are Harvest Moon(including Rune factory in that) and Sims 2 just can be (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Anyway, I could ramble on for ages (for real it's like my special skill, rambling aimlessly) but apparently judging from the few desperate "save the site" posts I saw I guess it's pretty quiet here so no much point in me rambling alone eh? Anyway I'll probably drop by again since I did love this forum dearly back in the days ^///^ Maybe somebody still remembers me? Any Steiner fanclubbers still around? :D

Also could somebody fill me in about the main points of what has happened around here? There's so many new posts (not even kidding if I read them all I'd have to go through 117 pages of TOPICS and that's impossiburu!) but I saw a mention of some drama about the graphics etc. used on this page and I'm interested in hearing more. (not just because of the drama but because I have some art skills maybe and my little sister does pixel art on DA so I might actually be able to pull of helping out if that's still current issue) If it helps to figure out how much I have missed I've apparently last been online back in November 2008 eheh.

so um... yeah. *smiles sweetly, waves her hand shyly and hides in the corner*
edit: *AND goes change that damned ugly pixelated crappy avatar what the heck is that even!?*

Well, welcome back. I wasn't around then - I came into the picture in '09 - but there are still a few members from that era hanging around.

As for the drama... most of that happened between two and three years ago. Most of the topics related to it aren't within public reach, but if you'd like a summary of the events, go ahead and PM me, and I'll oblige you.

Anyway, I definitely hope to see you around forum some time. :)

I must have been around just when you left or something. Don't worry. I've done the most embarrassing things - I just started using the computer/Internet when I joined Ranch Story and I was thirteen. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

It is a lot more quiet than what it was before. Makes me sad. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/emot-kraken.gif)

But if you stuck around, that would be great. :D
Especially with the Sims fans around here.

Thanks for the 'welcome' :3 I guess inactivity is kind of the problem for Harvest Moon forums, if there aren't new games coming out anytime soon there isn't much to talk and speculate about on topic so the outcome is pretty much that the talk ends up happening in the forum games and open chatter areas instead. That on the other hand can kind of put off the diehard fans who then rather go all silent if there is nothing "real" to discuss. Exact same thing is happening on my little HM forum (it's in Finnish and overall we have around 50 members and only 4 are somewhat active.) all the chatter happens in the offtopic boards with few posts in the "play diary" area where people can report how they are doing in their games. I'm not sure if such thing exists here but maybe it's one possible way to bring a little life here too? Or some silly challenges like "play the game until marriage without upgrading your tools at all between" or something?

Also Mizukithepanda, expect a PM from me :)

Oh, hey. I remember you. Welcome back.

Yeah, we're ridiculously slow now that most of our good content provider/japanese translate-y people moved on but we still just kinda chill and chat about stuff.

I'm starting to be competent at Japanese, but...definitely not enough. And I can't get the Japanese games or anything, so, pointless comment. I'm just excited I know more Japanese. x-x
I can't get the new games in English regardless.

Any Harvest Moon/Rune Factory discussion is a good discussion.
I haven't been able to get back to Rune Factory myself as I've had to do school homework.
Unfortunately, the last "Let's Play" for Animal Parade didn't go down well. :(

Chillness is fine for me, gives me good escape from tumblr every now and then (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I have some very basic Japanese skills but have wasted all my brain capacity in learning sentences like "Watashi no oshiri ga itai" (my butt hurts) since those kind of sentences are the only kind that actually stuck in my head. Overall I'm like wikipedia of useless information, need to know how whales mate? Ask me I know. Cat facts? I has them and not only from lolcats but real facts too. Then ask me something that would actually be useful to know, nope I have no clue. *sigh* Anyways, back to reading math it is for me~
