I spend a great deal of time coming up with names. I even write a draft of all the names I'll be giving before I ever start playing! It's nerdy, I know, but hey--I like to give my pixels the same love and attention as any other real-life counterpart. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif)

Here's what I plan on calling everything.

Player name: Melody
Farm/Ranch name: Harmony

Collie: Maestro (a great composer, conductor, or teacher of music)
Pyrenees: Major (one of the two modes of the tonal system)
White Weasel: Mozart (prolific and influential composer of the classical era)

Cows: Choco, Fudge, Toffee (types of sweets)
Sheep: Chiffon, Velvet, Cashmere (types of fabric)
Horses: Lavender, Asphodel (types of plants)

Ducks: Waltz, Tango, Salsa (types of dances)
Chickens: Primrose, Sweetpea, Snowdrop, Bluebell, Marigold (types of flowers)
Silk Worms: Mint, Sage, Thyme, Basil (types of herbs)

I never plan out names >.>. I name something right in the moment. But it normally seems to have a theme even if it doesn't make sense to most people. (like the names pie and sweater for my animals in HoLV were named to keep with a theme). If I can't think of anything in the moment I stick with back up names. Like if it's for a main character I just the default name. If it's for animals I just use names like C.C. and D.D (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) .

But I think it's cool that you planned it out so nicely.

I stuck with the whole musical/sound theme that they had going through the game. Well, except for my name, my pets, and my kids.

Name: Kozunai
Farm: Chorus
Kids: Damian and Valerie

Cows: Echo, Fife, and Symphony
Sheep: Piper
Horse: Whisper
Chickens: Melody and Harmony
Ducks: Octave and Noel

That is just what I have now/plan to have (don't have kids or Symphony yet, however Echo is pregnant with Symphony. :))
