Alright, this is where you recommend games for other people to play.
I'll start by recommending a few of my favourite classics. If you like strategy games, I recommend the Disciples series. Disciples: Sacred Lands was just awesome, and the sequel was just as good. Apparently it will soon be released on DS. It's a really great turn-based game, which is rare. You need to be able to think well, though. At times it can be very challenging. Also for strategy, I recommend the real-time strategy games The Battle For Middle Earth I & II, which are great if you're a fan of army command games and of the Lord of the Rings series. You need to be able to think fast, but unlike most games you need to be able to think using military strategy. You need to understand how important factors like terrain and army type and management are and use these to your advantage, while at the same time be able to react fast to a problem and turn it around. If you like action/adventure RPGs, the latest titles in the Elder Scrolls series are superb - the newest one, Oblivion, is even moddable, allowing you to create your own version completely. Darth made a Let's Play topic for the third installment in the series, Morrowind. Go have a look if you're interested in this kind of game. If you haven't yet played Okami, you should seriously consider it. The artwork, story and gameplay make for a really excellent game, although it is at times very challenging. Recommend your favourite games here. Hooray. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Hang on, can someone please move this to the Video Games section? I put it in entertainment by accident. Sorry. |

First of all; STFU HASFUSEL.
And secondly; Of course I suggest Okami. That game rawks my sawks. I also recommend the Smash Bros. series and the Tenchu series. :3 But Tenchu went down hill recently. :[ |

Recently? I liked Tenchu on the 360, and it had online.
Grandia 2 - Best Game Ever. If you haven't played and beaten it at least 15 times you don't deserve to live or own any type of game system. |

Tenchu Z was okay, but the graphics were hardly something to die for, especially considering it was on the 360. The game was also a bit short. :( I've never heard of Grandia. D: |

Then you deserve to die.
Graphics graphics graphics. I couldnt care less about graphics. Yea, yea, we are getting better and better systems, and 64 graphics won't cut it anymore, but they shouldn't make or break the game. Unless they are really really bad, which they weren't. They just weren't anything special. Tenchu is about the gameplay not graphics. |

I never said that graphics decide the game. I was just saying that it's easier to play a game in peace without your brothers making fun of it because its not SUPAH NEXT-GEN LOL.
Also, online was the laggiest thing ever. :[ |

Only gonna recommend a couple, there's a lot of great games out there but I'm pretty sure a crowd like this is more of a silly RPG or adventure type.
Earthbound (SNES)- Not a big surprise since me, Saffy, and Darth talk so much about it, but the game is really incredible. Great story, characters, full of humor (including hippie fights, angry old ladies, and the fat kid takes a poop in the desert), and it's really hard to put down. The only problem is you probably won't be able to get a regular copy so you're likely gonna have to get an emulator. Super Mario RPG (SNES) - The guys at Nintendo made this with Square (who makes all the Final Fantasies), and they created a lot of great characters and places in the world. Riddled with awesome mini-games and some great humor and the first Mario games to really have the characters express themselves (for example, in one scene Mario almost strikes a child, Bowser cries a few times but freaks out when he thinks Mario sees him). Also cool is Bowser and Peach are part of the team, but Luigi doesn't appear at all til the credits. You'll probably need an emulator for this too (though it might come to VC soon), and sadly you'll probably never see any of the unique characters anywhere else cuz SquareEnix are jerks and have the rights to them. Tales of Symphonia (GC) - A really awesome RPG that plays kinda similar to Smash Bros (in that you run around and attack and have special moves and regular attacks and can block), though the battlefields are 3D. Best of all it's multiplayer, so if someone is watching and wants to join in, they totally can. A lot of great characters, plenty of silliness, great plot with a lot of side stories and side quests, and it's long so you won't get too bored of it fast. The voice acting is probably the best I've heard in a video game and the music is really pleasant too. You can start over and keep stuff from your last playthrough and even increase the difficulty if you want. Also good is places like GameStop or whatever will probably have it for like $20. |

Oh yeah, forgot to mention Tales of Symphonia. Such a great game with an interesting story and unique battle system. Oh the fun I had with Sheena and Kratos. Collecting the different titles was fun and the whole story was so enthralling. blah blah blah blah blah. :3

I never played PaRappa the Rapper 2, but I did play the first one and that was probably the greatest game ever when it came out. If I had a copy still I'd play it right now probably. |

Only the first 2. Xtreme sucked, it had some good added gameplay elements, but it overall was horrible. 3 went back to pretty much the exact same gameplay, but the characters and story were horrible. I kind of like the idea of the story in 3, but they just did a horrible job of pulling it off.

Dragon Quest VII has to be my favourite RPG so far, even if they tried too hard for some of it. The gameplay just rocks, although the random battles can be tiresome. The music's very good, too, if repetitive. Definately the best game in the series.

The songs are catchy and they vary is stlye and tone, even some funny moments are thrwn in tharer betwen songs. I highly recomend this to anyone that likes music games. I've played both games. Sadly I lost the 1st one years ago and I haven't seen it sinse. As for 2 I still own and I've beaten countless times. I just wish they would come out with another. On topic I recommend a game that I am sure nobody here has played or have even ever heard of it. Its called Phantom Dust and its for the regular xbox. The game is next to impossible to explain though. Its an action game but it also has startegy elements. Its a game where you battle with special skills that very from fire balls all the way to shooting 8 simultaneous lasers across the map at one target or to raining down energy showers on your opponent, plus putting status ailments on them as well as buffing your self up. You can literally drop an entire floor or bridge on your opponent. But thats just the basic parts. The game is incredibly deep and there is a lot of technical stuff about it. Its one of those games thats easy to learn but hard to master and I can easily say it goes in my top 5 for best story. Here's a video I took off of youtube to show you a little bit of what its like. Its not the best I could find so if you want better ones just ask. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_VkclG3kJ8...feature=related |

LOLOLOL, PL@Y HARVEST M00N! Jokes. Yes play the games but still, there is a lot more to offer than just those fun farm-like games.
PS2 : I recommend Kingdom Hearts, when I was younger, I thought this game looked really kiddy with the whole Disney theme, but after looking at some gameplay videos, I really got interested. At first, fighting may seem kind of dull and simple, since you can only do a 3-4 hit combo. But after you level up and gain more abilites, hunting for items is just hella fun. In KH1 when getting the materials for the Twilight Key blade, I loved just entering a map and bashing my way through monsters using massive combos. Also the story is really good in my opinion. DS : I highly recommend you look into getting The World Ends With You, out of all the games I've played from going back from Super Nintendo, to GB, to PS2, to Wii, this game beat them all. The gameplay for this game is very unique in where you control two characters, at first this may look kind of hard or a hassle, but you can really just concentrate on one screen and button mash for the other. The soundtrack for this game is AMAZING, and I absolutely love the characters. This game also has a story that makes you ask so many questions, and everything adds-up in the end. I spent almost hours talking about some parts of the story with friends ; "How come this happened?", "But why would he do that?" We spent a lot of time discussing and figuring out more about the story, and in the end it is very satifying. Wii : Harvest Moon : Tree of Tranquility! Yes of course but, I recommend Mario Kart Wii. This game last me a few months, it is really fun, not much else I can say. Unique courses, with awesome drift and jump speed boosts, doing Wheelies with your bike. This game has a lot of small details and a lot of overal details. There is I think around 30 characters to choose to race with and you can also race using your Mii! And then Wi-fi is awesome, I play Regional all the time I get top 4th in most of the races, from time I get bad luck and end up maybe 7th or 8th. And btw, I'm new. I hope I get myself to adapting to the forum and coming here daily. Hello Everyone! |

As part of my campaign, I hereby recommend to you all to play the Monkey Island series of PC games.
Pros: Insult Sword Fighting, a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle, great puzzles, an easy mode in case you suck at puzzles, rhyming insult sword fighting in Curse of Monkey Island, monkeys, islands, pirates, undead pirates, Ron Gilbert, Tim Schafer, point, click, root beer, treasure, excessive amounts of awesome, and Guybrush Threepwood himself who can hold his breath for ten minutes and is selling these fine leather jackets. Cons: Impossible to find Secret of Monkey Island with disk #23, disk #47, and disk #114, and may contain too much awesome for certain unprepared individuals. |
