I just picked up Hero of Leaf Valley early today, for once in line with the Americans. I've yet to play it as my PSP is charging, but I'm definitely excited to get this game going! :D It's been one of my long-awaited games in the series, being one of the few fans of Save the Homeland. I'll likely begin playing tonight.

So who has gotten a copy of the game yet? How's your progress? What do you think of it?

My mom is on her way home with my copy right now ^-^ I'm so excited. Though I haven't stalked this one's story, characters, or anything like that like I did With past HM games :| so I have to go figure some of that out ^-^"

I really hope I can get this on Saturday. I've also been awaiting its arrival with huge hopes, and simply can't wait for this week to end so I can play it. <3

My first thoughts are that I'll take the first day to get used to the game mechanics, then get some cows and start buttering up Katie. :D

I find it weird how there's almost no hype at all about this game. What's up with that? Admittedly, I haven't gone out of my way to research it to the bitter ends either, but that's my own decision not to.

Maybe because:

A. HM remakes are less popular than new generation games. (ie. Boy & Girl for PSP)
B. It's for the PSP and most HM people rely on Nintendo systems.
C. People who didn't like StH (for some insane reason) may not want its successor.

But hey, I'm all hyped for it. Aaaah, I wanna go do more StH fanart now. <3

I was disappointed with Save the Homeland at first, but I came to love it for being different story driven.

The instruction manual does not suggest having children in the game. Perhaps not? You can get married though.

I get lost really easily in Hero of Leaf Valley, if it were the same as it was in STH I would be fine, but half the time I don't know where I'm going, ans strangely enough... I have yet to find the shipping bin...

One problem of mine is you seem unable to change the controls. You have to use the pad to move around.

That doesn't bother me, as that is how I prefer to move. The town is so much bigger than it was in STH, I understand that it is supposed to be a different town, but it isn't that much of a difference, just a lot bigger and more confusing...

I just started, and am about to go explore the town. Any luck finding the shipping bin? Is there even one?

I still haven't found it... It's obviosly not on either parts of your property... I'm wondering if you just sell things to the other shops in town...

I remember being confused like that with the original Save the Homeland. I know there's a Balance Sheet, so that kind of makes me wonder if there is a shipping bin after all. Who knows.

I ordered the guide yesterday, and I think I am going to wait and really start playing when I get it. I don't want to waste my days without knowing what I'm doing...

I don't mind restarting the game after a week of play if I feel I've come to some great new understanding.

Also, you do have to sell items at the stores. I just saw the option when I went to Lyla's shop.

I've done so very little in the game. Too many distractions right now not allowing me to play :[

well I'm not far at all in it. I stopped because it kinda bored me.
Sure I don't have anything done or started. But I don't really like it as much as I thought.

The loading times they drive me crazy, not the length of them, but if you want to change areas it does it. And there are so many areas (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif)

I get lost (as you guys said before) I am constantly checking the map to see where I am....

and on Bob's ranch, the horses aren't like passed HM horses. Cows are kinda, same with the chickens.

To me, this game doesn't really have that feel of HM....

I dunno, maybe I will like it when I get some of the endings and stuff started.
