Charles & Gina, what is this I don't even Options

So, I never saw that couple appearing.
In fact, I was very surprised by the event I got on the 4th of Winter in my second year where it was made fairly clear to me that Gina had some sort of interest in Charles, which he reciprocated eagerly. Even offering to "show her his robots some time". Hmph.
Being a very avid fan of Charles (he so koot. <3), I was taken aback and wore pretty much the same expression as Ronald & Renton had during the scene. Really, Gina? I mean, I knew she never had a rival before, but… not my Charlesss.

In my dreams I wish for a HoLV for Girl, but that is very possibly just a dream. Sigh. In other words, I found this pairing to be quite a shock (and mildly disheartening), and wouldn't mind hearing other's opinions on the subject.

Er... maybe it's just me being far too used to Japanese stereotypes, but I think they look pretty cute together. ^^;

It's not something that shocks me either. The cute, shy maid-type girl with the aloof rich-looking boy is pretty common in anime and manga.

But I think it's the way the scene unfolded is what weirded me out.

Like, Charles is pretty much a narcissistic jerkface who could care less about anybody else, while Gina just seems very shy & hard-working. The fact was that Charles & Renton had come to Ronald's to basically kick him & I out of the village until Gina randomly comes up and is all "Oh, Charles! You're such a hard-worker! Doing anything for your work, even if others hate you." And then she goes off on how she can feel for him, that she is often hated for being hardworking (what, does Dia whip her or something?). Then Charles magically is all "8D d'aww You so cool, Gina!"

I mean, I dunno. I never saw it coming because Gina & all those living in the Villa are so isolated from the issues occurring in Leaf Valley, so maybe that's why she doesn't dislike Charles. I just never saw their personalities ever really coinciding.

Actually, that just fits it even further into the overused Shy Girl + Hardened Aloof Guy stereotype... *sighs* It's just Marvelous showing their epic lack of creativity. :P

I actually agree with both of you. That type of pairing definitely common, but even so it kind weirds me out. And I did notice how Gina didn't have a rival but I never ever would of thought "you know Gina has no rival it must be Charles duh". I mean when has Gina even talked to Charles? I figured if Charles did have a rival it would be Aurelia I mean they did spend a lot of time together after you defeat the last robot. Man I really wish I saw that scene I would have liked to see Charles being sorta nice.

Well, I know I had Ronald, Gina & Charles at one heart (I think?) and Renton at two. Gina might have been at two. It was 4th of Winter Year 2 at around 2:30 PM or so. Just innocently walking into Ronald's shop. Yargh, now I really wish I had recorded it! :|

He called her wonderful, and then Renton was all "hey, she's hot" and then Charles verbally punches him. Pretty amusing.

That sounds funny (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaevil.gif) I'm definitely going to try to get that scene. I have already beaten my file, but I still have an old save back in Fall so I'm just going to skip ahead and see if I can get the scene. I'm going to try right now I'll be back.

There must be some other requirement besides the time and place. Did you do Ronald's bakery events? Maybe you have to get some other scene before you can get this one.

No, I didn't pursue either the Goddess Dress or the Legendary Baker, so I don't think it had to do with that. They referred to the drowning event, but I saved the suits and did all the events that would lead to keeping them in the valley.

Oh well I mean my little skipping spree wasn't worthless I learned some important things. Like for example I can go for an entire season without feeding my animals and they won't die, and even if Gwen does have a red heart that won't stop her from punching you in the face if you let your dog and or horse gets sick twice (crazy lady). But most importantly during that time I came to the perfectly logical conclusion that if Gina has Charles then

Zann seems to fit the rival guy qualifications I guess. He is a guy first of all and he looks like he's in the right age group. So he can't really speak in full sentences who said communication had anything to do with relationships (just look at Kurt and Dia). Yep those two must be perfect for each other (besides who else could she have? Renton (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) I don't think so)

I always just assumed the whole CarterxFlora thing with Aurelia, sadly. Like Chester may be insane but at the same time, love drives her insane. Unless he's somehow her actual father. In that case, eryeah. She could also crush on Joe a little bit, even though he's technically for Katie. She's forever asking me if he's catching fish in the lake. :B

Hahaha, either way, I'd love to see that relationship unfold. I have yet to meet Zann (just a few more days of Winter. x_o), but he could be in the age range. Man, this is just too funny.

Oh yeah Chester was so crazy obsessed with the Harvest Goddess I didn't even consider him being a possibility. That Flora Carter things still creeps me out. If you marry him he says he's old enough to be your father creepy.
