Summer Harvest Event

Want to help grow all the crops we needed to share amongst the town folk and create a wonderful feast at the end of the season, with the chance to win awesome prizes and have a great time? Look no further, the Summer Harvest Game and Competition is here to liven up your day and fulfill those needs to get down and dirty without pulling a single weed! (Maybe!)

All you have to do is follow the rules of the game and work with the forum to be a part of the top growing team!

Starting Date is June 20th, The first day of Summer, so check out the Rules and get ready to grow, grow, grow! Because the Game ends on July 20th

The Point of the Game:
The Point of the Summer Harvest Festival is to grow crops to have enough at the end of the game to create the best feast. 150 Pieces of Vegitables are required to be enough!

How to Play:
The idea is that you as a forum have plants growing all the time, you start with 9 open plots. It takes 5 days for the plants to grow. There has to be at least one post in the thread every 12 hours or the plants will die and you'll have to start all over again!
You can also speed up the growth time of the plants by posting a lot, conversation in the thread will help your plants grow, every 100 posts the plants will take a 12 hour dock from their growth time, so keep an eye on the posts that reach and start a new 100.
Conversation can also help keep the plant from suffering from different ailments. If a post is not made every 6 hours the plant might get bugs or dehydrate. This isn't guaranteed to happen every time, but it's a risk you don't want to take. The more frequently the plant is left unattended for the 6 hour range, the more likely you are to get said ailments.


At the end of the game there will be 3 winners, the winners will be dictated by who posted the most but be warned each player is limited to a certain amount of posts every 12 hours. See Rules Below for Better Detail

****I have changed the prices of the unwither and erased some of the above ways to play, I have made it a little easier.
NOTE: I have added a way to catch me off guard and earn you some extra veggies

***I have changed the amount of open plots to 9, however seeds are sold in bundles of 5. I will have an active drawing of how the plants look, if for example you have bought 10 tomato plants and in the next round you plant the 1 tomato and 8 beans, if I forget to change the 1st plant to a tomato, you will earn that extra tomato and earn a bag of 5 tomato seeds on the house by posting DOUBLE PLANTING! The way you will see this is like so.
I will try to change the photo everyday, if the plot on day 3, 4 and 5 have all bean plants but you planted a tomato too, you will then post the DOUBLE PLANTING! I will then add the tomato and the seeds to your inventory for future use.

**REMEMBER! You can plant ANY kind of plants, some cost more, if they cost more, they sell even better! Keep an eye on your gold, you might have to sell some plants if you run out to buy seeds.

*Some plants are not edible, they are prone to illness but they will gain you more gold if you want to sell.



Rules:
1. Do not double post.
2. Top and bottom post of each page will need to be numbered.
3. A Post must be made once every 12 hours for the plant to grow.
4. 100 posts will make a 12 hour dock from growth time. Only twice per 12 hours can you dock time.
5. 12 hours will be dictated by 12am - 12pm, they do not start on your time.
6. The top three posters at the end of the game will receive prizes.

Winnings:
(All Prizes will be given out by Baby)

1st Place - 1 Commission (Character of your own or from any Series), a Avatar/Signature set, A bonus for the next Event (Hosted by Baby) + One character cameo for the A Ranch Story Choose Your Own Adventure (You can either use a character of yours, or pick a HM character that isn't in the AP/ToT Series, there will be a picture drawn included for this cameo.)
2nd Place - 1 Commission and 1 Avatar/Signature Set
3rd Place - 1 Commission OR 1 Avatar/Signature Set.

I have a question.

It says that time is dictated by 12AM - 12PM. That's in what timezone?

I am not sure what time zone everyone is in but I will be working on Standard Mountain Time. I will be marking 12am - 12am whenever I can int he thread itself.

12am starts in 1hr 10 minutes for me here just to give you an idea.

Honestly, I figured we were going to throw this in the Announcements section once it starts and that it was being put in the Veterans' forum in the meantime.

And Daniella, you're two hours ahead of Baby. It'll start at 2 pm and end at 2 am daily for you. For people in CST, it'll be 1 pm to 1 am. For Charmy it'll be... 4 am to 4 pm, starting on June 21st. (Her time zone is 16 hours ahead of Baby's.)

The forum will always have visuals on what they have. It's not per person, it's the whole forum is growing 5 plants. The forum must keep the plants alive and have enough plants at the end of the festival.

Do we need to keep track of how many times each person has posted and our own personal number of posts? Or just the total? Are we limited to one hundred total posts every twelve hours or one hundred per person every twelve hours?
