Harvest Moon Twin Villages As the name suggests there'll be two villages that are at the feet of a mountain, each one with a respective mayor and villagers, and, unfortunately, you can only chose one to live but there's a possibility that you can move from one to the other, but you'll have to return to the one you choose at the beggining of the game to sleep, save... There are the European themed Bluebell, and the Japanese styled Konohana That choice is up to you, and it'll be affected by what exactly you want to do in this game. Bluebell is primarily focused on animals and livestock; Konohana is much more involved with crops, meanwhile, from rice to fruits and vegetables. It'll be your job to become successful in whatever you decide to concentrate on. You'll be able to have a Rice field in Konohana or make sweets in Bluebell! You'll be able to have your own owl, and you can be invited to go on a date! You only have one kind of clothes for Konohana and one for Bluebell. You'll also be able to communicate with another DS and play minigames. And that's not the only news! You'll be able to rise alpacas (llamas)!!!!! You can also select your protagonist's gender, here are they: (IMG:http://i35.tinypic.com/33xv6te.png) (IMG:http://i33.tinypic.com/11c439j.png) Main characters The game's due out on February 25 of 2010. It's really startling how grown up they look. This is the most grown-up HM I've ever seen O_O
On a side note, I'm glad they're putting out more HMs with a choice of gender instead of releasing them sepeately. That always annoyed me. |

The protagonists don't look that old to me. Maybe twenty-one or so. I wouldn't call that grown up! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif)

I think they mean grown up in relation to, say, Wind Bazaar.
In any case so far I like the character designs I guess. But is it just me or does the female's in-game self look pretty much like Natalie? |

But is it just me or does the female's in-game self look pretty much like Natalie? Now that you mentioned... Did they use the same sprite? And 21 years is considered grown-up, and I agree with Yuna they're kinda "old" compared to other charaters designs, few look "old" |

When you're nineteen, twenty-one doesn't seem that grown up (the people I've met in their twenties aren't that mature). >_> So they look young to me.
I think the AWL protagonist looks like the oldest. --- Anyway, I don't think they look as nice in-game. Too chibi-fied. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I've got no idea who Natalie is - I haven't played too many HM games. |

Natalie's a bachelorette in the Island games with Chelsea and Mark and stuff.
I haven't actually played that game so I can't see the resemblance in the sprites. *Shrug* |

Aww, they're all so cute. This is definitely topping my "To Buy" list when it comes out.
She does look like Natalie. It's unfortunate, as I liked her kerchief better than a headband. |

I'm very excited for this game and hope it doesn't take 2 years to come out in America.
I like the looks of it and like said above, I like that instead of shipping out a boy version and then a girl version, you have the choice built right in. It looks like there are a couple cool new features... A zip line!? |

Interesting. The protagonists' designs are nice; I like the girl's especially. I think it'd be great if you could travel between villages and maybe move back and forth if you had the appropriate money, but ah well. This is a start.
I'm not a huge fan of the chibi-styled graphics like those used in past games (MM executed it well, I think, but I'd take a realistic art style any day), but the game overall looks like it might be good. I can't for the life of me decide which village would be nicer. I'm quite fond of cherry blossoms, though, and I think I spy some in Konohana... |

Yeah, I'm still not sure which village I'll eventually choose. Hopefully we'll be able to move back and forth to be able to become master ranchers and tackle both raising animals and crops because I always like doing both in these games.
I think the art is cute, I liked previous realistic graphics like in AWL but eventually AWL looked kind of dirty and grimy which I'm sure appeals less to the younger audience. I don't mind the chibiness. :P |

It wouldn't be as much fun if we couldn't do both. If we can't, then I suppose I'll just do one village per file. Oh, and I believe that Raspberry is the red-headed marriage candidate, not the player character. :) This post has been edited by Larchyk: Oct 11 2009, 05:05 PM |

I'm kind of confused as to how the in-game girl protagonist looks nothing like her artwork. Her headband-bandana and clothes are either different colors (blue, what nao?) or styles completely, whereas the male looks like he at least has the same color scheme. Like Darth said, she looks like a recolored Natalie.
Not saying it's not the female protagonist, but she just looks like a completely different person from her artwork, which bothers me. x]; |

I noticed she lookied different, too. Maybe we can change their outfits? Also, I'm curious about if you can only marry certain people depending on where you move. That's my concern. It might effect where I live, since I'm going after Kamil at this point in development. :3
