Rune Factory Oceans, A new RF for Wii/PS3 announced! Options

Reoccurring characters doesn't seem too far-fetched. Hasn't every RF game had them so far? Keeps a nice loose sense of connectivity.

Yep, in each game after the first there was always at least one character from a previous game (Ceci in RF2, an bunch of people in RFF, and Mei and Yue in RF3). Maybe this "new world" is the normal Rune Factory and they are from somewhere else. So that way there can be old characters :3.

I hope they picked a good character to bring back, if they even did it this time around.

I just had a thought, if Ymir (the giant you ride on) can pick up entire islands and move them to new locations. Does this mean the islands used to be one big island and they got torn apart by the bad guy, and you have to put them back together?

I dunno? *shrugs* Maybe it's some sort of puzzle where you have to raise all the torn apart islands and put them together again? That could be an interesting objective.

There is another de Saint-Coquille family how did I miss that? Then this has to be the traditional Rune Factory world. Woo still hope for reoccurring characters.

This might sound kinda weird, but I think that scar is cute <3. The whole setting looks really good. But I can't get past the fact that they look so young. Comparing these screen shots to RFF. Azel looks like a teenager and so do those other girls. Ugh they are to young to get married! I would rather not have the marriage feature in this game. An official boyfriend/girlfriend would be good but not a wife or husband (that is if Sonia can even get married).


I wonder if that bell in the background does anything or if it is just for decoration.

Besides, even in real world, there used to be much younger marriages (read Romeo & Juliet, the main characters are both about FOURTEEN! and their parents are talking marriage non-stop!). As to the customs in RF World, we can only be sure one CAN'T get married in Aria/Aaron's age.

They aren't too young! They're just hot. They're one of those lucky few who get to look like teens when they are in their 20s/30s. Don't you wish you look(ed) like that when you are/were in your 20s/30s? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

And people in real world DO get married at that age. In some places they get married at the age of ten. (Absolutely serious) So to me, I honestly couldn't care less if they look like teens or not. Compared to the real world, that's... nothing. *shrugs*

Raguna looks to me about 19-21(he acts around that age in Frontier), Kyle looks around 16-14, and Mais is 13. The characters in Rune Factory games act mature enough for marriage to me.

The bell in the background, in the top screen shot makes me wonder if it's just there for decoration or does it have something to do with the main story, or a side story.
The scar does look cute, but her neck bothers me.

I guess the reason I'm so sensitive to young looking people getting married is because I am a very realistic person and I'm around a lot of people who talk like this: "Oh I'm eighteen and now engaged to my current boyfriend even though I've a dozen others this one of special. And we're going to get married and blah and blah." And I'm like "You are too young to get married there is almost no way it will work and nag and nag" So yeah I'm around a lot of people who got married very young or are planning to and it upsets me >:(. Especially now that I'm actually around that age.

But back on topic her neck does look weird. And that bell having something to do with Ymir really sounds like it could be right.

It would be so weird/depressing if those girls are the only marriage candidates. I wouldn't want to choose just from a group of sisters (no offense to them). I do wonder if they would get jealous. I don't want a break up a family by wooing all three girls.

Getting the sisters to be jealous of each other would be funny to me.
I just noticed that all the marriage candidates have the same eye color, I guess most sisters do have the same eye color, but I wish they had different colors... not just brownie red.

Yeah, that's been up for a bit. I've been waiting for them to actually have a page more like the RFF pre-release page before being interested though. The information they have right now isn't very useful at all.

You're welcome Jitterbug. I am really wondering what it says it the slideshow, I think I get most of what's going on in the pictures.
I wish they would update the site so we could see some more characters/marriage candidates.
I'm wondering if your kids will have different looks depending on who you marry, because if there are only three girls you can marry it would be really easy to program different looking kids.
