What was the purpose of honey? Options

It just smacked me in the face. What was the purpose of honey in Rune Factory besides eating and shipping away to a far off land. Is there even any recipes involving honey?
Of course you can probably use honey to level up weaponry but anything can do that.

Its an item you can harvest from bees. Its not a harvest moon game without live stock staples milk wool eggs honey

That's true. I kinda wished there was more to do with honey though. At least have some sort of tea recipe with honey or something. Those poor bees work hard so might as well make something creative with that honey.

I think it was definitely in a few things on the first rune factory then they really changed up cooking after RF 2 so not sure.

I know I'm resurrecting an old topic here, but... Could you make medicine in the first game? It seems like honey was involved in some medicine recipes... But I may be thinking of another game. It's been AGES since I played an RF game, and literally years since I've played the first. Dx

In Tides of Destiny there's a Honey Toast recipe. And I think to make pancakes you need honey. I think...
