I'm just a newbie to the fourm. But personally it looks like you have a really nice lineup. With as many people that are on the fourm I see it as having good content and little just "fluff". Every single Harvest Moon fourm that I visit though has little other than general chatter. I was suprised to see a section for Pokemon. I personally am not a pokemon fan but that's the type of thing that will draw people in. Even if they didn't have any idea they would want to stay they might for they find out that they like the people on the site. I just visited a site not long ago after typing in Mortal Kombat the section on Mortal Kombat was very very small but I stayed because I liked everyone and now I have three people to hash over Mortal Kombat with me. So I've really been thinking hard about forum currency since it was brought up months back. I would normally post this in the suggestion topic, but for some reason I can't find one. Maybe there wasn't ever one? Anyways, this is the best that I could find, so I thought I'd go ahead and post it in here.

So now when it comes to currency, you are gaining something. People enjoy gaining things, so if they could earn currency, then maybe it would make people more active. It was brought up those many months back that maybe you could earn currency for every time you post. This could easily work, or if you want to make it more of a challenge, you could always make it so that you earn 1 RS currency per every 2 posts or something. Then I also thought that maybe you would be able to also earn by winning site events, participating in polls, recruiting new members, or maybe even little things like getting your art featured on the front page.

We had this kind of thing all sorted out before. The big issue, however, was that we didn't know what we would be able to do with a currency. What would you be able to spend it on? On other forums, currency can usually be used to enter contests to win real life prizes. We don't have any of those due to this site being smaller, so it was a big issue when it came to creating a currency. I thought of a few things that maybe we could incorporate.

Emotes- I noticed that there was a topic where people were talking about how they wanted new emotes. What if we created a few new sets of emotes, but you had to use currency to buy them?

Fonts and colors- There arn't a TON of color and fonts options. I figured maybe you could earn more by purchasing it?

Colored name- This one I was thinking of as a maybe. As we all know, it is a pretty special thing if you get a colored name. It shows how much of a veteran you are. I was thinking, maybe you could purchase colors to color your name with?

Little Pictures- Back when Saffaroo was active, we had that little time where he offered to put little icon like pictures by everyone name down at the bottom of the page. What if you could purhcase things like these?

Website backgrounds- This was kind of over doing it. I know it's super pain to make new ones of these, but I figured it'd be cool to be able to buy new ones so that you can customize RS to your liking. Remember the dark cloud background? I like that one!

Medals- At first I thought this would be cool because I noticed other websites do this kind of a thing with currency, but then I figured it would take away from what medals are all about on this website. They wouldn't seem as special. Then I thought, what if there was just a special medal you could earn for hitting a certain amount of RS currency. for example, say you earn 5,000 currency. You get a bronze money bag medal. Once you hit 10,000 currency, you get a silver money bag. I think you understand where I'm coming from...

Well that's what I was able t ocome up with. I think that these kinds of rewards would make people want to participate in things more. It would make them when to post more. It could make the site even more active. I know we only have so much control over what we can and can not do, but I just thought it would be a cool idea. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif)

I just joined today and I would like to offer something. We should work on building Rune Factory : Tides of Destiny wikia. This place literally has the most in-depth stuff, and the fact that you guys barely have much meat on the bones says something. I was looking for info on tides of destiny, and I barely found anything. There might be more people like me searching for info to help us enjoy the game more, so how about working on the latest rune factory game released to america?
