No... If there's any footage out there, it was fan-created. You can't play as a girl in RFF, and I don't know of any plans to release a girl version of that or any other RF game.

There wouldn't be, because you can't.
edit: Ninja'd. And not even in the same minute. It's only cool when it's in the same minute. |

Lately, I've been pretty stressed out, and I don't exactly have a video game that can mellow me out that is fresh for me.
I was thinking about buying Rune Factory Frontier for the Zelda-like combat system and the setting seems refreshing in comparison to Harvest Moon. Should I go buy Rune Factory Frontier ladies and gentlemen? Or should I sell my HM:ToT to a friend and buy HM:Animal Parade? |

I personally seemed to enjoy Animal Parade more than Rune Factory Frontier. But I guess I'm still more into Harvest Moon than the Rune Factory series. I do enjoy the combat of Rune Factory Frontier though.

Does anyone recommend getting Rune Factory 2? What are the vital differences between that and the first one?

@Hasfusal I actually have never played the game before, but a lot of research goes into the games I buy before getting them. While I was doing this research, I found this wonderful review/comparision of Rune Factory 2 and it really encouraged me to buy it. The author of this statement is someone who is so famous for her HM guides that she's dubbed 'the Mistress of Harvest Moon', Freyashawk. I rely on her advice and opinion many times while making decisions on HM games. Here's a link to the post that most drew my attention:
http://harvestmoonforever.blogspot.com/200...-factory-2.html She also has other posts giving advice on Rune Factory 2 that you might find interesting as I did, but you'll have to look back at her earlier ones, as she covered this game before it came out in English. If you go to her Youtube website, you'll find lots if helpful videos on playing the game. Freya really does go out of her way for the players that use her guides and read her blog. I hope this helps you. :) |

Oke I have another question...
I don't understand the whole idea of the monsters coming from a lightning ball and when you kill them they disapear... Does anyone know the story behind this? |

Those orb things are portals. Monsters that come out of them are transported from the "First Forest" to the regular world.
All of your weapons and tools have returneth magic. So instead of killing the monster it just returns to the First Forest after it is defeated. The First Forest is just a special place where monsters belong. In the first game monsters were being forced to come to the real world by machines. But in all the later games portals are how they get into the normal world. |
