Well I can't speak for Gear but I got familiar with this site through it's wiki page. Then one day I randomly clicked on "forums" and thought, "I love HM. Here's some other people who love HM... eh why not?" Considering it would be my first experience in a forum community, I was a bit hesitant. But I still went for it. And here I am. Kinda weird that we still haven't gotten anyone from the Tumblr. It's approaching 350 followers now, and sometimes we can get a thousand notes with just one week's worth of content.
