This thought just came to me: will players with a Japanese copy of the game be able to connect with players using an English version of the game? And, if they can, how would the text appear? Like... say someone playing an English copy visited the village of someone playing a Japanese copy... would the text be rendered in Japanese, because that's the language used in the village you're visiting, or would the text be rendered in English because that's what's coded into your DS cartridge?

I'm rather unfamiliar with the wi-fi connection in general, so I apologize if this is a needless question. I'm just really curious.

I don't know about Harvest Moon but I know that it doesn't changed if you are connected with a JP version of Pokemon. You see, some of my friends wanted to do the Pokeathlon in HG/SS. The copy I own of HG is Japanese and everything was still in Japanese even though I was connected with US players. Also, my character's name wasn't translated nor was my Pokemon names. So, basically I think everything stays in Japanese no matter if your connecting to a US player.

Has it been confirmed that they are keeping the WiFi feature in the American version? They had WiFi in the Japenese Version of Animal Parade, but ended up taking it out for America.

Like Dragon Star said, I think it will just stay the same and not translate or anything.

On the Natsume Website they did say that they are keeping the Wi-Fi on the US version. But with this delay god only knows if its going to be kept or not.

Just wanted to add for anybody wondering... My question was in fact, not needless. As it turns out, English and Japanese copies of the game CANNOT connect.

I don't know if it's a Natsume thing or a Marvelous thing, but I shall take this chance to tell them both to ###### themselves right up the trumpet with a jackhammer.

Thank you.

Yeah, Mizuki and I tried to connect but the games did not recognize our numbers as valid ones.

Thanks, Marvelous and Natsume. Even Nintendo, the most protective company of anything game related, lets us play with people around the world. :|
