Since you mentioned Gumby I think I'll evade the Monty Python use of the word and ask what is your opinion on those wild and fanciful claymation cartoons?

Oh, I LOVED the claymation Gumby when I was a kid! I thought that style of animation was absolutely awesome. I even had toy Gumby made of...some sort of plasticy-flexible-clay-like material. I eventually ended up ripping off one of his arms, though. That was a sad, sad day. Unlike the heads of my Barbie dolls, I couldn't put his arm back on. ;.; Poor Gumby.

Speaking of Claymation, were you a fan of Chicken Run?

Actually, I've never seen Chicken Run (or many other animated films since about 1995). So I can't honestly say.

Marie has some sort of weird phobia of movie theatres, and pretty much watches only documentaries and comedy skits on TV. She finds almost everything else to be either painfully boring or just plain stupid.

From the commercials I saw, the animation didn't seem to be all that much better than Gumby, so, I dunno. Gumby was done long before Chicken Run, so you'd expect the technology would have gotten better, too. But, I've never seen the film, so I don't know.

Well, it's somewhat unfortunate, but since clay stop-motion animation is done using actual 3-D figures and not computers or any such thing, it's a little hard for the animation to "get better" so to speak. Really, the closest thing to getting better is animating it using computers and just making it look like claymation. But aside from that, Chicken Run is an amusing movie. It's got some great (yet obvious) humor in it.

Now, for a question... hmm...

Have you ever drunken coconut milk?

Maybe I should try renting it from the library sometime. If the library has it.

I've never been drunk on coconut milk. Er, wait, that wasn't the question.

No, I've never consumed it as a beverage. ...But I think I've had some dessert that had coconut milk baked into it. Can't say I noticed any difference, though.

When typing this, I somehow consistently spelled "coconut" as "cocounet." Go firugre. I mean, figure.

Depends upon what you'd like to know. ^^

It's similar to ToT, but I find it more fun because the characters seem to be a little better developed, the map is bigger, there are more crops and animals (though that rule about having only 3 types of animals in your barn makes me mad), and the storyline is both easier to beat and more fun than it was in ToT.

When starting the game, um...

-You start with 1000G.
-You start off with a kitchen and can have up to 3 kitchen utensils out at a time (though you have to buy those on your own).
-Herb tea is a good dish to make to befriend people, since many people like it and it's ridiculously easy to make. (Herb + pot)
-Foraging is a good way to make money (duh).
-There are already a few crops (3 turnips, 3 potatoes, and 5 tulips, and 5 cherry trees, if I remember right) growing in your field.

-Save a potato in your toolbox, 'cuz you'll need it when you're doing the sidequest to find the circus animals. (I almost made that mistake on my first file, but managed to grow some potatoes by the end of spring.)

-You buy seeds individually, so you'll need 9 bags of seeds to cover a 3x3 space.
-You can either plant seeds one-by-one or hold down the "A" button for a moment to plant 9 bags.

By the way, I've never seen the NA version of the box, but most other games I've seen had both English and Spanish (and usually French) written on the box, so I think that's fairly normal to have that in multiple languages. Often the manual is written in English and Spanish, too. I don't know if that multi-language thing would affect the amount of time it takes to hit store shelves or not.

How does life manage to be too painful and too short at the same time?

I haven't seen Futurama since Adult Swim stopped showing it a couple of years ago. I know it's on Comedy Central sometimes, but I'm too lazy to check and see when it's on.

I miss that show. ;.; It's one of the few I liked.

I think it's strange how that show really liked to poke fun at Nixon, while, in his lifetime, he wasn't really that...comical. Though he could be pretty comfortable on TV. Legend has it that in an early TV interview, he came across better than John Kennedy did.

But that was one thing I LOVED about Futurama: they way it poked fun at our recent history. I loved Richard Nixon in that show (or, at least, his head).
