And then I figured I should give an updaaaaate.
So, I'm in Fall of Year 2, and about three days away from proposing marriage to Licorice. I've been really happy with her events so far. She's as geekishly adorable as ever, and your farmer's dynamic with her is a lot of fun. I'm still trying to figure out whether I should go for the eastern or western style wedding with my main save... Farming and everything else-wise, I've really gotten into the swing of things, especially now that I have a jewelry combo that lets me recover stamina. It is a life saver, let me tell you. Right now I'm working on raising all of my favorite seasonal crops to 5 stars, so I can maximize profits while enjoying my favorite aspect of the game. Can I find more or different with the fishing rod than if I'm only diving? What do I do with all these bricks, ore, and gems I've been storing? And, can I build a fridge?

Fishing rod does get a wider variety of items, and I think diving is limited to how many times you can get anything, while fishing has no such limit.
Those items are for building. Typically one of the vendors either in town or from another country will be selling blueprints you can buy to make stuff with, including refrigerators. |

Been trying to play the game up to year 4 for days but its taking waay to long. I got Nadi to a red heart and I've been deciding whether to continue waiting on him to give the commitment ring or to just give it to him. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)
Complaining aside, I think the game is great and I love the new crop system. No more annoying one by one watering. Also all those animals! I can barely decide what animals to get next. |

Let's hope they're working on another game. Wii U or 3DS. I hope Wii U because Natsume has announced a horrible looking "Harvest Moon" for Wii U.

Now in Winter of year 1. I have the coop (and also rabbits), a pet house, sheep, and a sewing studio. (Klaus is at green heart. Can I give him that ring in Winter? Or should I wait until Spring?)
