so...who is starting to have thoughts of christmas yet? are you looking forward to it? dreading it? what's your favorite part of the holiday? what kind of presents are you planning to give. what are you going to ask santa for? who here actually doesn't celebrate christmas but another holiday instead? tell us about that one too -^.^-

I love the atmosphere of Christmas and the feeling you get, but I hate how short it lasts, and how that feeling just kind of disappears when it's over all so suddenly.

But the only thing about Christmas that I'm actually dreading is that exams are right before it and those are always a pain (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

I like christmas but I actually hate how early it starts. I don't start celebrating christmas until atleast december 10th. if I do it earlier, then by the time christmas finally arrives, I'm all burnt out on it.

I've thought about it a bit considering it's gotten so close now, but meh, not too excited for it this year, not really even sure why I'm not, I usually am.

I don't think we're going to do much this year, not bothering with the outside lights, and probably not that many presents by the sounds of it. Oh well, I'm a big girl now, I can handle only getting a few things, if at all lol.

I'm not sure what I'll buy my mom and dad this year, my dad maybe the first season of the Soprano's or something since he's always wanted to watch that, or maybe get the nice copy of The Pacific {which would be more a gift to myself than anything haha}, and my mom, hmm, don't know yet.
I'm also going to send christmas cards to my friends on LJ, a few ones get letters, a group of us are writing eachother letters, actually I got one the other day. I just need to get on it and actually buy the cards I'm looking for lol.

But other than that, meh, my least favourite thing is how cold it's going to be. :(

Eh. I'm never really excited for Christmas.

I'll be honest, if the rest of my family didn't celebrate it I wouldn't even bother.

That said, I'm getting everyone a present this year, since I have the money to. I've already got two of them on their way to me (as a semi-sort-of recluse, I tend to shop online), and the last present might be one I can just go out and buy... Which would be nice, since I won't have to worry about it getting here on time.

For my family, Christmas has absolutely no religious bearing whatsoever, so... it always seems like a big waste. :/

I can't wait for Christmas. It helps us beat the misery cold weather brings and is a time for family.

Mizuki, you're such a downer. How can someone not like Christmas?

I am looking forward to christmas. It's when my boyfriend will come to visit and we'll have grand times ^.^ I don't mind the crowds at the stores. rather, I enjoy it and it really gets me in the festive mood. I love christmas shopping. I also host a christmas party at my home each year for my friends. I also have family from far away coming to visit too. and then there's enjoying grandma's cooking <3

Well, in my mind it's just a big waste of money. I can't stand shopping, I never really need anything special, and putting up a tree or bothering with all that extra ###### nobody in my family actually cares about is just a hassle.

I mean, if we have to have a specific date of the year where we give a bunch of gifts, I don't see why we can't just as easily have it when nobody else is bothering and everything is in stock and all. Like in January or April or something.

I love Christmas time! I like putting up the decorations, the mood, the cold and snow, everything! X-Mas is really not about gifts for us, though. I hardly get gifts. I wish I could give some, but I don't have the money. I think my cousin and I will be doing a Secret Santa thing this year, so I'm excited for that and can afford buying one gift, at least.

But my most favorite thing has to be the cold and snow. And not having school is nice, too. :D

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Well, that's good for you, Oscar. We don't get snow and I personally can't stand the cold. The main reason for this being that once I'm cold it takes forever for me to get warm again.

Christmas also means that people are going to be nice persons and drag me out of bed at ungodly hours of the morning when I'd much rather be asleep. Warm. Between my toasty blankets. The nice persons. gosh darn them.

I just don't get what all of the hoopla is about.

Christmas in itself is fun. I get to see family that I would, otherwise, only see on two other days of the year.

The only bad part is my mom constantly asking "what do you want for Christmas?" If I have nothing big on my list, then I'll either tell her a video game that's been on my mind for a while, or the more common "I have no clue. I'll tell you when I do."

Mizuki, Debbie Downer!

I like buying other people gifts, especially when it turns out they like it more than you think they would {my family also has 4 birthday within a week of Christmas, one on the 23rd one on the 28th and the other two earlier in December} so usually we all go to my grandparents, and eat delicious food.
I do love Christmas time, it does tend to put people in a better mood and such. It's just this year everyone's health seems to have gone down the tubes so it's harder to feel great about it, but it's still fun to open presents up.

At Christmas all I can really look forward to is presents. I feel guilty about it, but my families never really are a blast at Christmas.
So. Yay, Christmas. Me so happy.

I love Christmas. It makes me really happy. All the lights, the happy people, caroling, the remembrance of Christ's birth. And cookies.

:3 It's nice, y'know.

I'm getting a motorola citrus phone for Christmas. And some money and stuff. Hm...I've gotta be mailing my Korean friend a present, too. I wonder kind of things 17 year old girls like?

I always found Christmas very exciting! I enjoy making and buying gifts for people (and of course receiving them too!), and it's always got that nice warm feeling. (Despite being very cold? /we got snow today but it's probably gonna melt again soon. Never had a green Christmas before </3) Also, while our family is not particularly religious, we do attend the Christmas Eve celebration at our church. It's been a bit of a tradition for our whole family, really, and it's quite nice.

Kee! I've got a bunch of ideas of what I want to get for other people, and I know for a fact that I'm getting Pokemon Black and some manga I wanted from Mom.

Amazingly I am actually quite a Christmas downer. I really like Christmas. But my family acts like it's the same as any other day, so I often get in a bad mood this time of year. I try to keep the 'Christmas spirit" but it's hard when nobody cares (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif) . For them it's just a day scheduled by "cooperate planners" that doesn't have any significance. All that matters to them is buying stuff during the after Christmas sales. I love going to see the lights though.

Christmas was much more fun years ago...

Christmas? Oh joy(sarcasm).
I hate this time of the year with a burning passion. People complaining about the snow, the temperature, whether or not they're gonna get their "shopping" done on time...
Honestly, you can say I hate being around other humans during this joyous holiday occasion. I'd rather be at home sleeping and patiently wait to receive my gifts the next day. A time when I'm not feeling the pressure of opening one by my peers just to disdainfully hate on the gift aloud.
Not to mention the usual company of the 'family holiday drunkards' I have the pleasure of being around at my grandmother's house every year.
Am I a Scrooge? helk yeah I am.
But I have my reasons, so "bah hum bug" to you all.
