mostly im a planter/forager.but I love to buy a whole bunch of chickens and make a bunch of coops and have like 125 of them.in awl I flirt most of the first chapter.I rarely ever play hmds because its like a more complicated version to awl.

At the beginning of the game I start to flirt, then after a few days I begin to do real farm work.

For the most part, once I get about 5 chickens, I raise animals for my money. And only grow crops for cooking purposes. Which gives you more time to socialize with the villagers.

I have an equal balance of animal tending, crop grower, and I love to flirt with my marriage candidates.

I like having a nice balance of all. Except in AWL, where it's most animals and digging. I only use the crops for cooking. 'Cause they're worthless to sell. But I like the mixed life. Makes me feel like I, or, rather, Jack is working hard for a nice life. Sappy, yet true.

In MM I didn't flirt much(and when I did it was only with Ray),I gathered stuff and tried to accomplish the marriage stuff and get money.

But,once I start getting animals I spend quite a bit of the day tending to them.
I'm also starting a habit of growing crops when I begin a game,they help me get money quickly,I'm lazy,I don't pick stuff anymore or go to mines much.

I'm definitely more of a crop grower, and then a "flirt" I suppose. I don't ever raise the entire villages heart rates (a bad habit of mine), I normally focus on the one bachelor/bachelorette that I decided upon before starting the game, and get them as quick as possible. I liked raising animals in the SNES version but the DS version was annoying to use the touch screen to pet them - it got REALLY tiresome.

When I first start a new file in a game, I'm mostly clearing out my land of weeds, stones, and lumber and planting a few Spring crops for money. I might scavenge, but I usually wait until I've caught up with the random debris.

I meet all or most of the villagers for the first few days, too. I also start trying to pick up cheap or easy-to-find gifts for the bachelor or bachelorette I intend to marry (provided they're available right from the get-go--if not, I'd either work on unlocking them and/or semi-court another available bachelor/bachelorette to keep me occupied until I do). I don't really bother to try to get all the marriageable peoples' hearts up, but I'll still talk to them, maybe give them an odd gift for the heck of it, and see their heart events when their heart is the appropriate color.

For the first year I'm mostly planting crops for my income. By either Fall or Winter I'll buy a chicken (chickens are always the first animal I get). During Winter my income is mostly gained via mining, selling the chicken eggs, and the odd scavenging. I also do most of my friendship-building during this season, since my time isn't spent tending to plants. By this time the bachelor or bachelorette I have my eye on is probably either at an orange or red heart (if I didn't have to unlock them, that is) and I tend to have at least a level 2 house, close to getting a level 3. Thus, by Summer or Fall of my second year I'm married; the only exceptions to this are DS and DS Cute, 'cause of those stupid sprites. >.<

So far, the only games that I've gotten past Year 2 in have been MM and ANWL. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)
