I should be getting my copy either Tuesday or Wednesday, so tell me some things I should look out for at the start of the game :) For instance, when I played Lost in Blue I had to restart my game probably 3 times before I hadn't gotten myself screwed. I assume the game is a lot like Harvest Moon, but what should I know about entering the caves?

It is impossible to enter the first cave, on your first day. Mist will give you your first two packs of seeds for free, the first pack on the first day, and the second pack on the second day. You have to fight a monster on your first day, and protect Mist. The monster appears on your farm while Mist is telling you some stuff, you fight it with your hoe, and then Mist talks about how it got there. Then she leaves and says she'll be back the following day at noon. You're free to do whatever you want the rest of the day, but beware it is a holiday, so most places are closed.
Everyweek there is a holiday, it is the day between Friday and Monday. There are strangely on six days in a week on this game... |

Yep. That sounds like everything that's important. It's not too different than other Harvest Moons, really. Just throw in your standard adventure RPG mentality to surviving in the caves and you should do fine.

I died in Carmite Cave, like 10 times... Then I decided to train, then I beat the Greater Daemon in no time flat.

I tend to start item farming from enemies before I actually venture deep in a cave. I kept going after the swords and things enemies dropped for an extra boost in cash flow, and by the time I got tired of it could tackle the whole dungeon.

How many monsters do you have? I only have one. The little squirrel that can be found in the first cave. His name is Acorn.

Nope, not really. Basice HM game. Only thing I'd suggest is to plant some "Radishes" in the cave to restore RP while fighting. That and buy a single handed sword. I didn't think I need one but it kills the monsters like 10 times faster and you won't even get touched. You probably won't get hit if you use a normal tool, but it takes alot longer.

Well, I just rounded up a pair of... things. The equivalent of a chicken and a cow. That seems to be workin' out pretty well. It's around Summer 10th and I've yet to have any of my Summer stuff grow. =(

To be honest, I thought I played alot... Maybe not though. I'm not playing right now or anything. I remember getting all the way to winter in one night once in FoMT.
