Non-Zelda appearances
In the CD-I games, Ganon appears in his "boar" form (although colored green) in all three of the CD-I Zelda titles, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, Link: The Faces of Evil, excluding Zelda's Adventure in which he was a large muscular devil creature. In these versions he only requires one hit to defeat, and appears to be a sorcerer of some sort with features based on his cartoon incarnation. His name is misspelled as Gannon.

Ganondorf is an unlockable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and is based on his appearance in the SpaceWorld demo, even wielding the large, cleaverlike sword in one of his victory poses (though he cannot actually use it in combat). He is one of the four characters from the Zelda series to be playable in the game. In Melee he is referred to by his full name, "Ganondorf," and is a slower, heavier, and more powerful "clone" of Captain Falcon, performing mostly the same attacks and moves (although his regular A button attack and a few others are different). In a recent interview with Eiji Aonuma, he said that Ganondorf together with Sheik are already in Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Aonuma: I?ve been working with Sakurai for a very long time with this new Smash Bros., because the Wii came out and when discussion for a new Smash Bros. took place nobody could think of anyone other than Sakurai working on it. He was kind of the default, and I was very happy to hear that he would be working on it. Actually, my designers did work on the designs for Sheik and Link and Ganondorf. So they submitted the initial designs, and so it would fit in the Smash Bros. Brawl environment, they?ve had to tweak some of the designs. But Sakurai has brought those altered designs to NCL. We?re working very closely with the team of Smash Bros. Brawl to make sure the characters look their best.
