Ok, here it comes...

You turn the game on and it comes to the opening screen, where it says Harvest Moon: Boy & Girl. Then gives you the option of choosing to play as a boy or girl. After selecting which one, it goes to a loading screen. Then it goes to the coresponding (whichever you chose) Back to Nature screen. I started my first file playing as the girl, well because I always wanted to play BTN:FG. You then press the 'START' button. Then you press 'NEW GAME'. You then wind up on the beach... (What the waffles?) Zack comes up to you... then you go into this five or six minute flash back of you on a boat with some random person. You talk about family and love. You then go to the Ship's Bar (why does the ship have a bar?) and you talk about being alone... Then you're in your bed, and that same guy is right there beside you telling you poetry (again, What the waffles?)... Then it's the next night, and you and that boy are on the deck of the ship, you talk about your furture. And then a storm rolls in. The ship hits a big tidal wave, and the ship sinks...then you wake up in the farmhouse bed... Mayor Thomas and Zack are talking about how it was a good thing that 'he' was there. (The 'he' they are talking about is, whoever you wind up marrying).

The controls are the same as they are in IL. Well, the moving ones anyway. You can move with the control stick OR the D-Pad. You can also press the O button to run. Talking, using tools, and picking stuff up is all used with the X button. Your Rusack starts off with only 3 slots (?) and I still haven't figured out how you go from the main screen to just dropping things into your Rusack like in FOMT. The only way I have found to put stuff in your Rusack is to press the /\ button, which opens the Rusack, and then Manually moving it over to the slots...

I have triggered two events, one was Cliff's black heart event, which oddly enough, at the end of it, he was at a purple heart (...). Then, I exited the church and entered the church, Carter and Cliff asked me to look over the church while they went grocery shopping. I agreed. And walked around. I entered the confessional room, and then Kai (What the waffles!?) entered... He came into the confessional room, and told me his confessions, then he left. Carter and Cliff came back and asked me if anyone came by, and I shook my head no (you don't get a say in this). Then I just left and went back to my farm...
