Why not? If Game and Watch can get into Melee, Pacman can get into Brawl. I'm 99.9% sure he was the first actual "Character" in a video game. That's quite a landmark.

Pacman is more world-famous. At least in the USA.

That just sounded stupid... "More world-famous, atleast in the USA"? But yeah, he is generally more well known.

I'd rather not have Pac-Man. There doesn't seem to be a good move-set if they included Pac-Man. I mean, what can he do besides chomp? On another note, the music is absolutely amazing! I can't wait to play for hours listening to the new "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Medley". Also, Yoshi is now confirmed as a character! Yay! They've improved his Up B for lack of a better way to describe it... So, yeah, I can't wait!!

There's nothing to base his moves off of. I mean come on! |

There have been 3D Pacman games. There's probably plenty to base his moveset on. As for his Final Smash? He can uh.. Eat that dot thingy and then go eat everyone else. Yeah.

Right. Also, don't forget that the same rules go for Fox and Falco. Whatever did they do besides fly around before the first Smash Brothers? I'm not saying I want him in, I'm saying that he very well could. He's a well known video game icon, has made numerous appearances on Nintendo consoles, and he's not some new kid to the gaming world.
Ofcourse, I think his role would be better suited to one of those Assist Trophies probably. I'd prefer Gilgamesh (another age old Namco arcade hero, who had major popularity in Japan back in the day) or Cless/Cress, as he's the first main character of Namco's Tales series that I'm sure you've noticed has gotten quite popular. |

Pac-Man as an assist trophy would be cool. As with Fox and Falco, I see what you mean, however, they had something to build off of. As for Gilgamesh, and Cless/Cress, I've never heard of either of them. I'd like to have some character that a majority of the SSB fans have heard of. Maybe throw in Sheik as a separate character altogether (but if anything, I'd love to see Sheik in Brawl as I played as Zelda only because of Sheik's speed)

I would like Krystal (From Star Fox Adventures/Assault/Command) to be in the game. Still, I don't think she can make a place on the game.

Cless is the main character of Tales of Phantasia, the first game in Namco's RPG series "Tales of..."
(IMG:http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g281/worthlessnewbie/cless.gif) He's a warrior who uses swords, axes, spears, and a number of special moves to take out his opponents fast and efficient like. He's appeared in a number of games since then, as a hard boss fight, quiz master, doll, costume, and so on. Can't give out too much information on him as a character though, as I never even finished the darn game because, for one reason or another, my data has always managed to get lost somehow. Similar to the reason I've never finished FFVI. ---- (IMG:http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g281/worthlessnewbie/20050901_amnamco_05.jpg) Gilgamesh is the main hero of the Druaga series. In the game, he is the son of King Marduk [whom in real life history is the god of ancient Babylon]. Sadly, King Marduk was defeated in the invasion of the Sumerian Empire. Gilgamesh is the Prince of Babilym, who would eventually become King upon his wedding to his childhood friend and lover, Ki, the Shrine Maiden of the Goddess Ishtar. Gil is brave and noble in his duties--always striving to see them through to the very end. Which is greatly in contrast to the actual figure he was based off of. The game itself was released in 1984 in arcades and set the groundwork to future games in the genre and even precedes the Legend of Zelda. In the sequel, Return of Ishtar, he also teamed up with Ki, a magic user, making a possibility for a sorta Ice-Climber like duo character. |

New information from the wunnerful world of Super Smash Bros. Brawl! They released a new stage called "Skyworld" from Kid Icarus. The stage is pretty cool. There is also a new technique released called the "Footstool Jump"! Basically, you jump on your opponent like Mario does on a Goomba. The resulting jump springs you up into the air. You can read all of this yourself at http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/index.html
