Nifty. It'd probably be really interesting to see the little differences with everything under a magnifying glass by playing both games at once. I wonder if I should actually go ahead and make the HMFGP topic soon, since Summer IS rolling around and most of us will be out of school soon (if we aren't already)...

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS.
I suppose I could play them both here on one thread, that would probably be preferable so that I can keep track of all the differences I am finding ect. I think I will do that. I'm already noticing subtle differences. The first thing that makes me happy playing ToT, is that the characters are all different heights. and widths, whereas in AP, all characters are same height and width, which is why Owen looks like a tool in AP. The frikken introduction is forever is ToT too.. I am finding as well that the mining system is much different. In AP you can SEE your surroundings much more, like you'r in an almost above view. Where in ToT you are zoomed into your character, making gaisers and pitfalls much more easier to run into. I do not like the zoom. BUT I do like the trapped gases better in ToT, they have a cool effect on the floor, where in AP you get just puffs that fly around. I've played AP more frequently than AP... I wonder if I'll remember how to get the rainbow right away. I'm not even a season through on AP and almost done two bells... Meh.. we'll see. EDIT 2014/05/08 11:45pm I thought I might bring this up. Tree of Tranquility Spring Track VS Animal Parade Track My preference is Tree of Tranquility.. it's just more relaxing. I put a poll up, what do you guys think? |

So I think for the sake of updating and actually looking like I'm updating, I'm going to post one reply ever 24 hours if no one has said anything in between. That way it actually will look like I'm updating it instead of editing and it not looking like I added more content majiig. Although if I have more to update during a 24 hour period, I'll just edit. If mod type people have a proble with that lemme know.. I just wanna be able to actually post updates and such when when no one is paying attention and maybe get some noticing
2014 -- 05 -- 09 So I got the log chopped already, which is a great help since I chose hilltop plot *furiously edits first post* I can't remember where the Harvest Goddess even is in this game... Differences: -Stamina. Holy balls. AP gives you a lot more stamina in the beginning, ToT is basically a big eff you! -Farming. Specifically gardening, AP is far superior. Your tools cause way more energy loss at first in ToT. In AP you can also rapid click and your character will auto run through the command again and again, saving you from aiming and not hitting the same spot over and over. -Seeds, an extension to the last point... In AP you can press and hold the command button and you will be shown what your throw range is, in ToT it's just for tools, not seeds as well. Also you throw (I think it's 9?) seeds in a strait line in ToT. In AP you can hold and throw in any direction or space. -Seeds again. 1 bag of seeds in ToT means 1 9 plot throw. If I remember right in AP, 1 bag is 1 plot. Also in AP if you miss a tilled plot, you dont lose the seed you threw into it. -I've said it before. Height difference. My gods is that a big factor. -Elli, omg.. Elli. -Dear gosh... I forgot how you basically have like 6 trees and 6 giant rocks and you can't smash them all at once so that you can build stuff.. Praline Forest SUCKs. I'm used to the beauty and mystery of Fugue forest that's for sure... -Settings. I find that Waffle Town/Island is much more serene than Castanet island. The whole set up is simpler I find. Easily and organised arranged houses. It's very usual. Whereas Castanet is literally a stone town built into a cliff, I find it's a bit annoying how everything is squeezed together in the town and it's all a bit to colourful for my tastes. I find though that Waffle Town has more clutter. Random palettes and things just laying around all over the place, which is nice. -Elli. -Set up. I think I prefer the way that Castanet is set up over all. With the town not being a full circle int he same way that Waffletown is. Waffletown is just a big loop. Castanet has a neat cart system. -Mines. Man.. I know it should be opposite, but the way that the mine looks fromt he outside on ToT looks more realistic to me than AP.. No idea why, probably all the junk laying around. -Plot. Slower to start in ToT So I think for the sake of updating and actually looking like I'm updating, I'm going to post one reply ever 24 hours if no one has said anything in between. What a cool idea Baby!
I prefer the Spring theme in ToT because nostalgia and it feels a little more up beat. You actually place seeds 1x6 in ToT but meh...details... ELLI! :D The mine is a bit annoying in ToT because, yes, it's so dark! Pitfalls come at you out of no where. Also it's a lot easier to figure out what kind of gems you'll get with the whole sparkle effect. I like (and sometimes hated) how in AP they randomize what gems you'll get. I like the body differences in ToT too. I married Owen cause I thought it was cute how tall he was compare to the MC. His head looks like a balloon in AP (._.) Praline Forest is horrendous. I've MADE a forest bigger than that. :P I called Castanet's town the fruity town. The colours are just..so... BOLD. Can't wait to hear more updates. |

I haven't played Animal Parade but I remember finding the soundtrack in Tree of Tranquility.....well, just. I didn't really like it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)
And I remember finding the mine to be a little tedious also. I was disappointed to hear they made everyone the same height in Animal Parade. It made everyone look more distinctive. And from the sounds of it, I like a circular formation because everything's connected to each other which just makes things easier. I'm pretty sure you only meet the Harvest Goddess towards the end of the plotline. |

It does make things easier. I mean eventually in AP you get the mine shaft thing that will lead you back to the chuch grounds.. so technically it is a full circle. But I don't use it very often.

I could seriously smash my head into a wall right now. I bought a new nunchuk because mine vanished... and Angel, my dog... chewed it up.. I guess no more play for a while since I'm broke. Ef.
