Brain hasn't been working well today, but I tackled a very, very rough translation for Iris's info.
I'm not satisfied with it because there was one kanji character I couldn't quite recognise, and her dialogue samples seem a bit more wordy than the others. She is an author, so her way of talking might be a bit more complicated. I put a question mark in the area where I was uncertain of the kanji. Still, I hope you can get a feel for her personality from this! Iris QUOTE “The clear autumn sky is very pretty. This way I can really get worked up [lit: I can receive various forms of excitement], so in this season my writing progresses.” She’s Mistel’s older sister, and works as a novelist. She has an abundance of knowledge and experience, doesn’t let small things bother her, and has a refreshing personality. She’s sisterly and good at looking out for others, and when it comes to gathering herself together, is kind[?]. Even if she spends all day at her desk writing a novel, she’ll relax and go for a walk around town, so she’s fairly laid back. (Dialogue in screenshot) “This town isn’t very well known, so whenever the editor in charge of my work changes, I have to give an explanation of the location, and that’s difficult.” I was going to try do start on the guys today, but I'm so tired out after translating this one, I think I'm going to relax with some tea, miniature pies and play ANB! Could you add the official website to your first post too, please? *w*
Kanji is a pain in the butt. I think I like Iris the best for the girls so far. ^^ |

The graphics remind me so much of A new Beginning except less tedious with the farm. I'm excited! That multiplayer looks a lot more fun too. ^^

Has anyone seen the 10-page comic that they've added to the website? It's pretty cute.
http://www.bokumono.com/series/tsunagaru/comic/ Also, Marie, isn't that kanji you had trouble with yasashii? (This one: 優しい) So, tender, kind, gentle, and friendly would all work there. And, it's been bothering me for a while, but why are we romanizing her name as Iris? Iris is usually spelled アイリス and pronounced "eye-riss". |

I put the question mark to apply to the whole sentence. The kanji I can't see well enough to look up is the one right after 自分を (jibun wo) in that sentence.
I saw that comic too! I haven't sat down to read it yet, but I will soon. About イリス... Truthfully, I've been a little confused as to how we're supposed to romanise her name, too. "Irisu" sounds more like "Elise" in English, but it's spelt like "Iris," so that's a tough one. I'm not sure what name they were aiming for there. |

Oh... that one looks like 慕って to me.
I've been romanizing her name as Elise myself. Erisu is generally Eris (like the goddess of discord), and Airisu is usually Iris. Irisu may be how it's directly romanized, but when romanizing katakana, directly romanizing things doesn't always work or yield the most accurate result. |

I hadn't payed attention to their katakana. .0.
I always rely on the pronounciation rather than the spelling. That's how I've seen all the names work so far, and it makes more sense. If you were putting Charmy into katakana, it would only be silly to add a "ru" in there or something. I do find Irisu to be difficult to romanise though. However, I always thought the pink girl's named was Elise pronounced with a Z. It fits the extender, since the end is pronounced ees/eez. Maybe the blondie's is.....I don't know. But I find eriize matches Elise better than irisu, unless it's a different pronounciation of it....Irisu sounds most like Ellis, buuuuut. No. I don't know what to romanise them as now. 8[ But I'm sure Eriize isn't Eliza? Those of you curious: Vowels in Japanese are simple - a I u e o = ah ee oo eh ou and the r's are more than likely l's. Pink: エリーゼ = Eriize (R~L probably soft e) ~ Eleez? Blonde: イリス = Irisu (R~L soft u) ~ Ilis? Is Illis a name? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) EDIT: And Riirie also.... They can't be going off by spelling, can they? They don't do that though. :< EDIT2: I'm overthinking this now. I'mma stay away from these names, I have other things I need to do. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |

Oh yeah. I forgot about her. Honestly, I'm just as confused about what they were aiming for as either of you. It just feels completely wrong to spell her name Iris. Elise is E-lees, rather than E-leez, though I think the name can be pronounced either way. ._.

Okay after like clicking twenty different links I have gathered the following:
Boy's name is Nadi. He is the sensitive/loner type in this game. He is a gardener. No idea on the girl. Can't find much on her. :| |

Pointed out by Gear, there's two new characters seen in photos who look suspiciously like new marriage candidates.
QUOTE Boy's name is Nadi. He is the sensitive/loner type in this game. He is a gardener. From other words I can read and guess, he makes a good quality garden by himself which, from the adjective translated directly, is a "relaxed, familiar, easy to access, friendly" place. I can't read half the kanji, it's the best I can do. As for the girl, her name in roumaji is menou. Some of what I can read is cut off, and as for the rest, I don't know the kanji, so. :[ Please post in this topic from now on guys if there is new information/most types of discussion. The wiki is linked to it. :) |

I went ahead and merged the topics so this mistake wouldn't be made again. May wanna check and see if it still links back to this one, big topic though.
A lot of people were joking that Nadi is Amir's gardener. I think that would be hilarious if it were true. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |

Sorry about that Charmy. >_<Won't happen again. ^^""
To keep things on topic I like the new bachelor I will most likely pursue him in the future. |

Literally it won't, because the other topic is no longer there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/monster.png)
I actually really like his design a lot, but I'm STILL WAITING FOR EVERYONE BECAUSE I KNOW IF I DON'T THERE WILL BE ANOTHER IGNIS THING Edit: Alright I checked. The wiki does link back to this "new" topic. Which is good, because I couldn't figure out how to edit it if it didn't. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ; |

Whee! Glad to see this topic active; I was finally able to work on some website translation stuff again.
The website still lists only those three bachelors. Source: http://bokumono.com/series/tsunagaru/character/03/ Rega (レーガ) QUOTE “On rainy days we don’t get many customers... I should really to try to think of an event or something for rainy days to make them want to come.” A young man who works as the cook at the restaurant. He’s chipper and active, and immediately acts on his thoughts. He’s skilled at cooking, so skilled that people come from far away to eat [his food]. His natural good looks and smooth talking draw others to him, especially the female customers. Therefore, others may mistakenly think that he is shallow, but he is actually the serious type. (Screenshot) “I inherited this shop from my grandpa.” His name is レーガ, which is literally romanised "Rega," but it could be Lega. It's the Japanese R/L-sound-thing, you know. Klaus 〔クラウス) QUOTE “You seem so busy every day. Oh yes, you should come to my home next time. I’ll make a perfume with a scent that heals tiredness.” He’s a very fine gentleman [dandy] who works as a professional perfume maker. He is broad-minded and tolerant of others. As to scents he is a professional, so if you make a request and he’s in the mood, he’ll mix it up for you. Due to his calm nature, he’s becoming a person others can rely on. (Screenshot) “There’s a lot of nature around here, which is just what you want when talking a walk. Minori, if you have time, would you join me?” "Minori" is the default name of the female protagonist. The Japanese text uses the English word "dandy" to describe him, but that's a bit vague so I added the "very fine gentleman" bit because that's what I think of with the word "dandy." "Foppish gentleman" would work too. He's probably a little older than the other two bachelors, since the text doesn't describe him as a young man. Mistel (ミステル) QUOTE “There are a lot of valuable things in here, so please do not run around very much.” The young man who manages the antique shop. Though he looks childish, at his core he thinks like an adult, and always acts in a gentlemanly way. Just like his older sister Elise (Irisu), he [has a] refreshing [personality]. He likes old things, so he deals in various things like furniture, accessories, art, etc. (Screenshot) “Hey, I have not seen your face before. Are you perhaps that new person I've heard rumours about, the ranch owner?” Every time I write his name in Japanese it wants to autocorrect to 見捨てる (abandon--which also happens to be written "misuteru"), which I think is kind of funny. Apparently his antique shop doubles as the furniture and accessory shop. Those other two (Nadi and the girl, Meno) aren't on the site yet, but it appears that, as Twilight said, Nadi is a gardener/landscaper. It also mentions that he's been on a journey. Meno's info is cut off, but I can see that it says she loves animals. |

Yep, those are Angora rabbits! I assume you get wool from them, since Angora yarn is made from the fur of those rabbits!
(Different varieties of sheep and alpacas, llamas, and now Angora rabbits... The HM world is a knitter/crocheter's paradise! I wanna live there! >.> ) There are a couple of screenshots of the rabbits in the chicken coop, so I assume that's where they live: http://bokumono.com/series/tsunagaru/life/03/ |

I'm going to add: you may have noticed this page, with some characters who aren't listed along with the rest of the villagers:
http://bokumono.com/series/tsunagaru/life/07/ These three characters are fellow ranch owners. I'm not going to tackle a translation just yet, but here's a little info on them. The young girl is Elize (エリーゼ, Eriize). She's a girl from a wealthy family, and is selfish and stuck-up. The young man is Flits (フリッツ, Furittsu). He's a very friendly fellow who is apparently not very good at thinking ahead or making plans. The old lady is Eda (エッダ, Edda). She's a warm-hearted grandmotherly lady who treats the protagonist as her own grandchild. She's been farming in this town for a long time. By the way, nothing seems to indicate whether Elise and Flits are marriage candidates. Guess we won't know for now. Edit: Also noticed a screenshot with Meno near the bottom of the newly updated safari page! http://www.bokumono.com/series/tsunagaru/life/04/ She's some sort of park ranger who handles safari tours. |
