I'm pretty sure some of you are interested in plays.
Anyway, I'm upset to come back each time, press view new posts and see nothing happening, and I'm bored and tired and I need much needed Ranch Story time has use of my laptop has been suspended for too long. SO PLAYS. I just finished the last night of our school production as part of the crew. My feet are black from running around in worn down shoes. I know what jam fingers are now. Sorry I was pulling around dirty steps, ehew. >:V It ran for three nights whole, and the nature of the show is a different scene performed in different areas of the school, so the audience follows the actors around. This production was a melodrama, while the last one, two years ago I think, was an Alice in Wonderland-themed one. Overall, I think we've done better with this play. It's plenty funny, and the actors in year twelve are the best. Two of my friends were acting too, they did great also. :D Other friends were in crew with me. As I'm doing drama this year and have done the production I've been seeing a few plays here and there now, and it's quite fun since I've never really done so before. I got to see the best HSC drama performances at On Stage in Sydney, two of which were just....really, really, funny. Merry Wives of Windsor, which I didn't have the energy to pay attention to unfortunately, but to my surprise my librarian from primary school was one of the main girls. I didn't get to say hello since we had to leave early. :( And I also saw a play from the school next door to ours. SO. PLAYS ARE FUN. Since I'm doing like journal entries...I'll shush. TELL ABOUT PLAYS WITH YOU. IF YOU HAVE ANY. I HOPE YOU DO. YOU BETTER. D:< |

I've never really been in any plays, but I love reading them and going to see them.
When I was in high school, we put on Beauty and the Beast, and it was surprisingly good. I remember that night pretty well, since it was absolutely freezing out. If the play had been held outside... *shudders* I don't think I would've gone. My other most memorable play experience was when I dragged my entire family to see Shakespeare in the Park put on Macbeth. I thought it was great. Really, really great, but everyone else in my family hated it. They didn't understand what was going on and Shakespeare's odd brand of not-quite-middle English flew over their heads completely. My mother kept complaining about how we went to see a play that was outside, and how we were forced to sit on the cold, hard ground. That combined with the fact that she couldn't understand anything just made the night completely miserable for her and I never, ever heard the end of it. She still brings up how much she hated that on occasion. (Which is sad, because Macbeth is such a great play.) |

We had to have all of our scenes undercover since it kept on raining throughout the day, unfortunately. D:
We had a few messups here and there but nothing big. I think all three nights went pretty well. A play I went to see with my family was a funny one a looooong time ago. It was inside a theatre, and it was about an evil guy who was stealing everyone's bums. Apparently an older friend went and saw it too, because we were talking about plays and recognised it was the same one, but we were both too young to really remember properly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) It's a shame about that. I read MacBeth at school and watched the movie/play thing and I thought it was good. As for The Merry Wives of Windsor, I more or less kept up with the story, but I was literally falling asleep. I ended up napping at my friends house afterwards and I didn't feel well for the next three days, even. vmv;; |

School did something for once recently. Not that anyone not in the band/chorus would know about it.
I think it was Cinderella. And a musical rather than a play. |

Did that go well? :D
We had a Cinderella in our play for a moment. The actor was one of my friend's brother's girlfriend. She's nice. I think she could have been a touch louder though. |
