The only new Pokemon that I liked was Vanillite's line and Cubchoo :D

I loved the Vanillite line! Vanilluxe has become one of my favorite Pokemon. I disliked Cubchoo, however.

I liked Cryogonal (spelled right?); he had a lot of potential, but they wasted it. They could have let him evolve into an awesome ice snowflake of death.

What the ######? This is about as mind boggling as the original announcement for Final Fantasy X-2.

The only reason for this that I can think of is that they want to capitalize on the success of the plot they integrated into Black and White. This also leaves me with a few questions. Since these games may be direct sequels, can we transfer our data from Black and White like you can in Mass Effect? If we get to control new protagonists or (for whatever bullshit reason) have to start over as the BW protagonists, has any significant amount of time passed? Why be as unoriginal as calling the games "Black and White 2"? Gold and Silver weren't that darn unoriginal, and those were more or less direct sequels to Red and Blue. (The only thing that really made them not "direct" sequels was the initial setting and the name, and even then, since you get to travel Kanto and meet up with the main protagonist and rival of the previous games, I'd have to argue that they were.)

Honestly, I'd like for this to end up being some elaborate hoax, but I get the horrible feeling that it isn't. :/

I'm hoping it continues the story, but takes place in a new location and that the reason for having it be a direct sequel is just that they didn't want to expand the pokedex.
