Here's a pretty impressive video. I love the scene where Azel fights the monsters. The animation is pretty awesome. :3

Someone did a play through of the game and watched all his/her videos (I think it's a girl but just to be safe). So I pretty much ruined the entire plot for myself :/. So I don't mind (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Hello everyone, first post here. Took me 2 days to read through all the pages, and I have a question for those who played it (or know someone who played it):
It's stated that the marriage aspect only come after one finished the story line, which so far seem to takes about two years game time. And this got me worry a bit: is there additional stuffs (activities, festival ...etc...) for after beating the story? The reason for this is I'm afraid with only the marriage, the post-story game gonna be a real drag. In my experience with frontier, by the time I beat the story I'm more or less "done" with the game. Like having every house upgrade, grow every crops, befriending most villagers, did all the festival ...etc... This mean after the story there is only the marriage aspect left (and maybe doing the bonus dungeon which can be done in just a week game time). So aside from waiting for a child to be born and grow up, there are nothing else I can do. This is the reason why I never got around having a child with Mist or Irish since I gave up after sleep spaming due to the lack of activities. It is much better in case of Lara or other candidate that doesn't tied into the story, since I can go through the marriage alone side the story. Since this is now the case of every candidate in Ocean, anyone know if the after story part have substantial new content? |

From what I've read and watched of Oceans it seems just like RF:3; you beat the main bad guy and then you marry the girl of your dreams, have some kids. If you've already befriended everyone and seen all of the festivals then there is not anything to do but make a new file.

Just a quick question. why is it even if you can play a girl in this one are there so few guys to pick from? I mean there were more than three in RF2 and you played a kid then. None of them are even my type which puzzles me because I know that they can do my type since they did it in RF2 and RFF (Orland and Barrett from RF2 and Brodik (Wagner), Erik, and Lute from RFF), so why couldn't they do it in RFO?

You know this is kinda like RF2 but reversed. You start as a guy and then later get to pick who you're gonna play as. Either a boy or girl. It's the same in both games.
But in RF2 you get the marrying part done , choose your gender, and then after that you get to the plot. And in RFO you do the plot, pick your character, and then do the marriage thing. I don't just know something I thought of. |

Available for Pre-Order on Gamestop
No Amazon yet, so far as I can see. That's a good indicator that it's probably NOT going to come out when they say it is. :P But we knew that already. |

I'm not really that disappointed that there are only three bachelors in this game because they all seem pretty decent. I'm most likely going to end up playing as a boy sooner or later.
I like how the designers didn't make the main characters have plain ol' brown hair like in many of the hms and RFF. |

Random note: It makes sense that they would make mostly people with brown hair, as they are Japanese, and they don't have the spice of life hair colours that most Americans do, not only for that reason, but also because most are pretty modest...
But I agree. A fresh change up is nice. I think the personalities are pretty diverse as well. Edit: Available for PrePurchase on Amazon now as well. |

RF MCs never have the same hair color. Besides the RF2 ones. But they were his children so that makes sense. I like that in each game the MCs have different hair color. I hope next time they'll have a black haired MC (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) .
I'm not really that disappointed that there are only three bachelors in this game because they all seem pretty decent. I'm most likely going to end up playing as a boy sooner or later. I like how the designers didn't make the main characters have plain ol' brown hair like in many of the hms and RFF. There are four bachelors. That's one better then three X3. But four bachelors is not a big deal. The problem is that there are more then twice as many bachelorettes. That is understandable though cause apparently they weren't even planning on making Sonia playable. So of course they weren't going to add a lot of bachelors to a game that had only a male MC. And it's not like they were gonna make a bunch of new guys and toss them in after they had already finished the characters. |
