Yeah, it's kind of like a VW of laptops. Only fixable at the specific shops. (I'm referencing to VW's because my sister has one, and it has had a ton of problems. Ordering parts are more expensive, etc. She's vowed never to buy a foreign car again.)

Personally? My family has always owned PCs. My mom's last PC lasted, like, 10 years before the ol' thing finally died out; on ME, actually. And before that, it ran pretty darn well. My current computer, a PC, runs great. And my sister and dad have laptop PCs and they're quite happy with them. A Mac might be shiny, but overall, having lived with PCs my whole life, I'm quite content. I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have one; I'm just saying I'm not gonna go out of my way to get one.

My mom's computer has lasted for eight years so far, and it's still going, actually. It's just really slow because all MY files are on it. ;D

LOL...I've been all over the place with computers between building useing em and repairing em (yeah, I've done both). it really is a personal preference. for programing, I prefer a pc, but I like macs too.

It's not too bad. I chose an i5 for the processing power, but the VC doesn't run the high end video games. I can do GIMP and Sims (well, I'm running GIMP, and according to can you run it, I can run sims). This model ususally sells for about $600. It has 4GB RAM, 500 GB HD, a full QWERTY keyboard with seperate numberpad, and a camera. uses a HD Graphic Card sound is all right.
