Is there a place where I belong?
I guess not, because I'm writing this song. One place is not enough for a person like me. Maybe there is, in another reality. Is there a world where I fit in? A place where a brand new life can begin? There could never be, just one me. There'd have to be, maybe five or six or two hundred and three Is it just that I'm not black and white In a world that thinks that it's only right? A world where I can be who I want to, but not really? In this world, to be what you want You need everything you've got And then some, Maybe this world just isn't cut out for me. They say that, life can't get any better But I say that, this world has got so much more to offer If only we could look past our eyes And see the horizon past the skies Listen, to the sounds of Everyone that's on the ground Hear the mindless chatter Ignore it, it doesn't matter Is it just that I'm not black and white In a world that thinks that it's only right? A world where I can be who I want to, but not really? In this world, to be what you want You need everything you've got And then some, Maybe this world just isn't cut out for me. Maybe writing from the heart Even from the start it's just Not enough to make a life Living what you love? Is it just too much to Ask for a chance to be great At the thing I'm best at? At the thing I dream to be? Is it just that I'm not black and white In a world that thinks that that's only right? A world where I can be who I want to, but not really? In this world, to be what you want You need everything you've got And then some, Maybe this world just isn't cut out for me. Is there a world where I fit in? A place where a brand new life can begin? There could never be, just one me. There'd have to be, maybe five or six or two hundred and three Maybe in a while (when I remember to charge my camera's batteries) I'll record me playing it on the piano, maybe even singing it. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Okay, but it takes like three or eight hours to charge the batteries. *I forgot which number it was* And.... I'm also tired right now, and I have to actually figure out how I want it to sound.

Uhhh... Sure... Good news though, I now have the basic melody down.... though I haven't settled on a note pattern for the chorus...... *ADHD + Song = different notes per chorus unless I absolutely love the one I did then enough to remember it*

I'm currently fiddling around with my camera and how much it apparently hates instruments and singing at the same time.... As soon as I figure that much out, I'll be able to mesh it together and hopefully post it (assuming it doesn't take as long to load on my computer as the last one I made did)

It's on Youtube. It's just a mash up of my Sophomore Year of high school to the tune of "When the Saints go Marching in." I was going to upload it straight to Facebook, but that was being slower than my computer, and it always froze.
EDIT: I think I figured out that I'm going to have to record the piano and my singing separately. It doesn't sound right with out the piano. I really don't like the sound of myself without at least one instrument behind it. I guess I'll have to record the piano first so I can listen to it as I record the singing. |
